The Rose ---{-@

On this v.last day of 2009, i would like to share this beautiful yet inspiring note which was posted by a fren earlier in the year....

For those who wanna know y i always say "When i grow up, i wanna b a leech!" on...

"The Rose - "... we grow old because we stop playing."

"The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.

I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.

She said, "Hi handsome. My name is Rose.

I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?"

I laughed and enthusiastically responded, "Of course you may!" and she gave me a giant squeeze.

"Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?" I asked.

She jokingly replied, "I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids..."

"No seriously," I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

"I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!" she told me.

After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.

We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk non-stop. I was always mesmerized listening to this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.

Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went.

She loved to dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet.

I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor.

Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, "I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know."

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.

There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.

We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it!

There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.

If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight.

Anybody can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets.

The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets."

She concluded her speech by courageously singing "The Rose."

She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives.

At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago.

One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.

Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be.

When you finish reading this, please send this peaceful word of advice to your friends and family, they'll really enjoy it!

These words have been passed along in loving memory of Rose.

Remember, growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional.

We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give"

Fren commented tt she still doesn't understand y "when i grow up, i wanna b a leech" after reading the above post...
Well, cos leeches r v.focused creatures...n leechie wanna hav more focus in my i wanna grow up to b a leech leechie ambition ;p

Farewell to 2009 o.O

It's the end of a year...time for us to bid farewell to 2009! time for us to reflect on the year tt has juz passed...time to make new plans n resolutions for the new upcoming year...

To be really honest...i could feel the heat when i saw my fb fren Rod talking abt completing his new year plans a couple of weeks back! but before making any new plans...i wanna look back on this year which has juz passed...well, it has been a really hectic year for me...rushing here n there...trying out many new stuff...n learning along the way...glad to hav u all here with me on my life journey...saw somwhere "What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals"...thx all my facebook frenz for posting all the inspiring msgs everyday =) i wanna improve on whatever i have done this year...i wanna b a better leechie...hope u all can help me to grow n develop to b the best leechie tt i can be...wanna give thx for all the help tt everyone has given me this year...i could see who my frenz well as detect traces of hypocreeps from a mile away o.O" thx for all the challenges thrown at a leechie...i believe in "what cant kill me can only make me stronger!"

Some observations after chatting with som frenz...they told me tt they try to give their kids whatever they want...cos they r n cant spend much time with them...i'm under the impression tt kids hav a v.sheltered n blessed life leechie mum hardly buy any stuff for me when i was a teenager...she makes sure tt i earn whatever i want...i guess the red prada bag was one of the few stuff tt she bot me...she kinda stopped buying stuff for me after jc when i started to work part-time...but i guess she did the right thing by making me appreciate the value of things...n i guess one tends to better appreciate stuff tt one works hard for n the v.stuff tt one really really wants rather than those bot on a whim o.O

Saw this line on my fren msn status: "人生短短几十年,不要给自己留下了什么遗憾,想笑就笑,想哭就哭,该爱的时候就去爱。。。。" o.O to fight for what we want in has to start first by opening one's mouth to quote my leechie idol, ms. Elim Chew...i wanna turn those "IMPOSSIBLE stuff into I M POSSIBLE!"

A quick revision from Robert Kiyosaki seminar earlier this year ---> "Three regrets for most people when they are dying; 1) Did not take leaps / opportunities. 2) Did not say or communicate. 3) Did not forgive."

Leechie <3 David Tao!!!

David Tao...what do u know abt him? his many heart-wrenching R&B love ballads or numerous pretty gfs? ;p

Juz saw the latest episode of the Taiwanese version of "Don't Forget The Lyrics" with David Tao as the main guest! His chemistry with Harlem was great...n i really enjoyed tonite's show...liked all the songs tt he sang...even the last one which he didn't know...but he made it sound so good =) hmmm, kinda feel tt he was trying to hit on one of the pretty female guests on this show ;p but it's so nice to see david again after his break...miz tt impish grin on his ;p he's back with a new album...but i actually prefers his older songs from his first album =)

Well, David Tao is one guy who looks better as he ages ;p gosh, he's 40 this year...1 year younger than my leechie uncle (ya, the same uncle who fell into a drain earlier this year) he's not known for his looks...but he still looks fact, i think he looks better now as compared to his younger days...although he has more lines on his face now...but tt adds to his charm i guess ;p ppl like him gives hope to ppl who fear growing old...ahem...i'm referring to a least, it makes growing up less ;p Leechie always enjoy shows with David as the special guest...cos he not only entertains with his soulful songs...he's v.chatty n humorous...v.candid n frank during interviews...perhaps tt's part of his ;p i'm sure many ladies would not disagree with me on tt ;p

Leechie has a few of David's concert fav is his "Soul Power Concert" =) btw, he's coming to singapore for a concert early next month...asked my leechie mum if she wanna go with me...cos i haven't seen david live in person before...n she was like -> don't waste ur $ to watch him...he's not good-looking...juz buy his concert dvds can ler o.O" haiz -.-" i still rem tt we went to watch jay chou concert at the indoor stadium for her bday in 2002...we sat right in front n watched jay chou walk up n down the stage...right in front of ;p leechie was a big jay chou fan then...ya, i hav a cool leechie mum who listens to jay ;p anybody wanna go watch david live in concert next month? ;p

Saw this meaningful line on my fren's facebook status: "A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Richard Bach"

Leechie fav david tao song =)

Who else can sing tt part tt well? o.O leechie wanna b his baby ;p (but seriously, i hate guys calling me baby when i'm not their baby -.-" leechie has a name n my name is not baby -.-")

I always tell my leechie mum tt david wrote this song for ;p (apologies, tt's leechie A380 ego at work ;p)

Looking for oneself...

I'm falling in love with david's new song... o.O

A Reluctant Brunette o.O"

Guess what? leechie was stripped off her blonde ambition n became a reluctant brunette -.-" went to this particular salon near the botanic gardens...they mailed me a letter for a complimentary whole head color for my leechie i went ovr earlier today...the stylist (he didn't even intro himself so i hav no idea what's his name o.O") began recommending those dark reddish shades tt supposedly would make my hair look more healthy n shiny...but i told him abt my natural hair tone being v.yellow-base n any reddish tones on me would turn yellowish after 3 shampoos...told him tt i saw elva hsiao on tv yest n i like her haircolor (elva is soooooooooo pretty =)) so i pointed to the dark brownish blonde shades in his color chart...he agreed n then went to mix the hair dye...but leechie had a shock when the color job was done! my hair looks really really dark reddish brown...omg..Omg...OMG!!! however, the bottom part of my hair was extremely he couldn't get everythg to be a single shade so the bottom part of my hair still appears to be slightly lighter than the rest of my hair...seriously, if he followed my instructions to mix the hair dye as per requested...i'm damn sure my hair wouldn't turn out to b so reddish n dark!!! -.-" not sure abt how som salons guess was tt since it was a complimentary hair color, so they could hav used som sample or complimentary hair dye on me -.-" omg...leechie no wanna b som guinea pig! -.-"

He even tried to recommend me som shampoo...even after i told him tt leechie uses Redken hair products (well, for the uninitiated, Redken is one of the premium salon brands avail) i paid $35 for the wash+blow n left (well, the color job was complimentary but i was still charged for wash+blow)...leechie hasn't had such dark haircolor for a really looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time n i'm still not used to such dark shades...haiz -.-" my leechie mum tried to console a leechie by saying tt my hair color will turn lighter after a few washes n it wouldn't look so dark n red after tt -.-" haiz -.-" now leechie has been robbed of my blonde ambition n has turned into a reluctant brunette! -.-" as what ppl say, blondes hav more fun...i don't mind all the dumb blonde jokes...but gosh, now leechie looks like a boring brunette...haiz -.-"

Btw, met a really cute stylist yest...his salon uses Redken haircolor...well, again for the uninitiated, not tt many salons here use Redken haircolor...most of the better ones use mostly Loreal haircolor...n most of the other crappy salons use som ulu n super drying hair colors (shall not mention any names here) -.-" would b interested to try out Redken haircolor one day...cos leechie likes Redken hair products =) btw, leechie likes his hairstyle...hmmm, it looks like som korean hairstyle...i dunno how to describe it in words...but think a fren has a similar hairstyle o.O i was complaining to him abt my supposedly horizontal line fringe which looks like a mess yet again...juz abt a month after the crappy rebonding incident -.-" mr.cutie recommended me to juz grow my fringe long n to keep side-parting o.O" he speaks with a pretty strong Malaysian accent n wrote me his hp n asked me to call him...well, let's put it this way...he has a pretty high probability of being leechie next stylist ;p leechie wouldn't mind having a cute stylist ;p but he muz b able to deliver!

Haiz...leechie aint amused with my new dark brunette haircolor...haiz -.-" i shld hav gone to mr.cutie directly instead...haiz -.-" think i shall try out the Keratase color protector thingy tt i won in a facebook contest earlier in the year? well, if my color fades off...i can assure u tt it's not due to this color protector k? o.O"

Update: It has been 3 days since my hair color job n i still cant get used to the dark hair's even darker than my natural haircolor :'( the v.last time tt i ever had such dark hair was when i was in jc donkey years ago...omg...bad hair days...n now my hair's like super dry...haiz...omg...pls save my leechie hair!!! =(

Saw this on a fren facebook status ---> "~ 爱人的那一个,往往在不完美中给完美,而被爱的那一个,却总是在完美中找不完美。~"
well, i guess this not only applies to love and relationships...there will always b those ppl around us who r constantly looking out for ur flaws n faults...which is y i always tell my leechie mum...i'm not perfect n i do what i do as long as my conscience is clear...i cant please the entire world...cos there will always b ppl who will nvr appreciate whatever u r doing n will be there to bitch n bitch abt the mistakes tt u's life -.-"

Somtimes i am rather amused by som ppl...can someone tell me y tt fanatic leechie fan can't seem to juz give up? -.-" no point telling me tt u love me or whatever crap...i'm really sorry...but i don't know u n u don't know pls save ur love for someone else...arigato...

This cute doggie looks like a fren's doggie...his doggie sits on a couch n holds a remote control...think these 2 doggies can go watch tv n surf net ;p

Merry Xmas 2009 =)

Pics tt i took of the riverside...look closely to see the crowds of ppl gathering there with their lighted-up headgears waiting for Xmas countdown ;p

Leechie had to attend a meeting late this aftn...ya...on xmas eve itself...then on my way to the meeting...saw an opening party for a new jap restaurant near my pop ovr to the jap restaurant right after the served me som really nice authentic japanese food...starting off with salmon sashimi...then salmon soup tt came with real salmon n caviar (really v.yummy ;p)...then i wanna leave ler...but my jap lady host asked me to stay back for tempura...leechie being a tempura fan...stayed back...well...all the dishes were really nice...n had 2 sapporo beers to wash down the food too...n everythg was complimentary...keke ;p but i was alone...what a way to begin my xmas celebrations o.O" but was rather amused when the restaurant owners came ovr to take pics with a leechie o.O

Rushed down to Tampopo where our Xmas eve jap dining cum networking event was held...overwhelming response manz...i intially made a reservation for only 35 ppl...but had to keep increasing the capacity...until i reached a MAX MAX MAX capacity of 50 ppl...n had to put ppl on the waiting list...but with much regrets, the MAX MAX MAX capacity was already hit n we had to reject quite a number of participants! however, it was really great to see everyone...both known n new frenz with nicely balanced ratio of males n females =) well, more than 70% of the participants this time round were new faces who had joined our networking event for the first time! btw, quite a few really pretty ladies came...prettier than leechie n still single...too bad tt u guys who weren't there with us miz the chance to meet them ;p glad to see everyone enjoy themselves at the networking event tonite...n had som laughs ovr my unconventional lucky least it was a fun way to get to know more new frenz ;p well, leechie returned with a nice big Xmas exchange pressie wrapped in bling bling starry wrapping paper...i thot it could b som chocs...n som frenz were speculating tt it could b som log cake...well, if it were som log cake, then one could imagine what would happen to it with all the shaking ;p's actually a tin of cookies...yummy...keke ;p

Went ovr to clarke quay after the was really crowded manz...leechie always kenna targeted n sprayed with foam whenever i crossed the bridge in previous years...this yr...leechie was smarty enuf to avoid the bridge n anyone holding spray foam ;p btw, saw a fako snow or foam machine outside attica o.O" while walking around trying to soak in the festive mood...bumped into a fren along the way n chatted for a while...n i actually thot tt i saw another fren hanging out with his fren at one of the pubs there...well, he was looking at me as if he knew a leechie...but i guess my eyes could b playing tricks on a leechie? o.O" anyway after walking a few rounds, we finally got a nice table along the riverside...n i managed to take som pics of the riverside as well...check out the pics tt i took =) shared a bottle of red wine...saw many ppl on the opposite side of the river bank waiting for countdown to xmas...but when the time came...there was hardly any cheers or celebration...pretty strange n anti-climax eh? o.O" anyway, we still had wine to drink toast ;p

Only realized tt my dzi bead ring was no longer on my fingers when i got home -.-" thot tt i lost it at clarke quay...only realized the day tt my dzi bead ring was actually in my bling bling purse...hmmm, weird tt it landed up there...blur leechie cant rem how it could hav landed up there @.@"

Thx everyone for ur overwhelming support =) Merry Xmas n hapi hols!!! =D do rem to think of the less fortunate ppl during this festive season n give thx for whatever u hav in life! =) Stay tuned for our exciting networking events which would b coming up v.soon in Jan 2010! =)

Saw this line on my fren msn status: "人生短短几十年,不要给自己留下了什么遗憾,想笑就笑,想哭就哭,该爱的时候就去爱。。。。" o.O

A quick revision from Robert Kiyosaki seminar earlier this year ---> "Three regrets for most people when they are dying; 1) Did not take leaps / opportunities. 2) Did not say or communicate. 3) Did not forgive."

Juz saw the holiday special of Absolute Boyfriend (i actually miz the v.last episode manz)...really touching...again, tears trickled down my face...even robots r more humane than humans...btw, my leechie mum commented tt the female lead is v.pretty...ya feel tt she has grown prettier too =) guess my leechie mum kinda miss watching jap dramas on tv these days...well, cant b helped...korean dramas r everywhere everyday manz as singaporeans r caught in the midst of k-fever manz o.O"

V.nice song from Absolute Boyfriend dedicated to everyone here...Merrrrrrrrrrry Xmas! =)

Damn touching...tears rolled down my face as i watched this...

Love is...

Really cool manz...a muz-watch!!!

Wealth Mastery 2009

Good thing tt we were sitting near the front o.O

Check out Keith Cunningham's pretty wife, Sandi =) guess she noticed a leechie taking pics of her...guess she muz b wondering y this jap tourist keeps snapping pics of them ;p

Keith was rather amused y ppl wanna take pics of him...although Keith says taking pics of him won't make one rich...but i was alrdy there...don't wanna miz the opportunity to snap som pics...keke ;p

Special thanks to my fren, Darius, for making the necessary arrangements so tt leechie could b a part of this seminar...really appreciate it...thx alot =)

Day 1:
Juz returned from day 1 of the wealth mastery's a TNT event... which means "Tony Not There" he got his master trainer here instead...v.small crowd today (only abt 600 ppl). rem tt a fren was sharing with me abt fear n greed the other thing tt the trainer shared today was..."decision made from a place of greed or fear is always a wrong decision" i really need to get my psychology right! Learnt tt the most impt thing is one's resourcefulness!!! Btw, leechie had v.nice roti prata at expo foodcourt...v.yummy...keke ;p

Day 2:
They mentioned tt there were 850 ppl of us...well, such a big increment overnight? o.O" they printed out our financial plan...well, i guess they didn't see the decimal place tt a leechie indicated on my form...n tt's how i ended up with a financial plan which is wrong -.-" 1 of the speakers today was Chuck Mellon n 1 of his rules of trading is: we should nvr turn a winning trade into a losing one...well, i'm guilty of tt at it bcos of my A380 ego? tt i refuse to admit tt i'm wrong?

We played a really interesting "ring-toss" game tonite...there was a mkt-maker who got to decide the price of the rings, a few brokers with rings tt one could buy from as well as a banker (not sure what was the role of the banker...i didn't get to see him at all @.@") well, i guess they were trying to simulate the mkt conditions...could really feel how chaotic it was...with ppl all rushing to buy the rings ( nos. avail) from the brokers n from the other rather ridiculous prices at times...could really feel the excitement n euphoria...looking at these participants, now i could feel how silly i was to chase up the stock prices when the mkt was euphoric -.-" haiz...i know tt i shld buy low n sell high...but y am i not doing tt? haiz...they keep stressing tt success of investment is mainly 80% (if i rem this no. correctly) dependent on psychology, n 20% on the tools/strategies...

My leechie idol, keith cunningham, made his appearance tonight...he spoke abt the 5 biggest mistakes tt ppl make in biz...i guess i hav heard him speak on the same topic before...but it was a good revision...again, he described abt how he meet his wife, was the 2nd time tt i heard him speak on this subject...but nevertheless, tears started to flow from my leechie eyes as he spoke...v.touching...

Btw, leechie bumped into a fren tt i haven't seen for donkey years...rem i was lamenting abt how i tend to go shopping alone these days? she was one of my shopping buddies back in she mentioned abt shopping together again juz nw...not too sure if this is a good idea for my leechie pocket? o.O" well, in my conscious n subconscious minds, leechie is in denial of being a shopaholic...but i cant lie to myself eh? -.-" anyway, my stingy fren (let's call him mr.stingy from now on k? or how abt uncle stingy? ;p) sent me an sms the other day saying tt God (btw, leechie is not a christian) won't give us who we want...but rather who we was she sent into my life again to go shopping with a leechie? o.O"

Day 3:
Took a lift from my parents today...but was still late -.-" Overwhelming day...had 7 speakers overload manz @.@" esp when there was conflict between what the different speakers said -.-" one uncle participant gave me pretty sensible advice -> when in doubt, do nothing...u don't need to trade...o.O" leechie was a tired kid...dozed off when they showed the tony robbins video clip in the dark -.-" btw, leechie took som pics of my leechie idol, keith...managed to get pics of his pretty wife, Sandi, as well =)

Day 4:
Another day of sales pitch...didn't sign up for anything -.-" but i got 1 of tony robbins dvds...well, thot tt it might b better if there were not so much sales pitch...btw, 2 of the speakers wore black shirt n pants n belt n looked kinda confusing...1 guy spoke on fx n another on futures...well, juz realized tt leechie had heard tt fx guy speak previously at T.Harv Eker's "Never Work Again" seminar half a year ago...but he was previously selling options course instead of fx...btw, he wore the same black shirt n pants n belt n shoes attire o.O" wondering if tt's supposed to b som standard attire for them? cos most traders always look so cool de B-)

Spoke to Gigi earlier in the day...she was one of our group's trainers...she still rem the question tt i asked her during the 1st day of the seminar during the financial planning segment...abt y shld i give up all my little luxuries in life? com''s abt financial u shld upgrade ur lifestyle...n not downgrade ya? hav to STEP UP!!!

Well, i learnt alot from a lady participant...who shared with a leechie abt her investing n biz history...went to attend an event tonite...bumped into a fren...havent seen him for donkey moons n was sharing with him abt what she went thru...somhow, a silly leechie juz couldn't control my leechie tears...then he ended up offering his entire pack of tissues to me...haiz...@.@" again, i forgot how many drinks i had...most probably >15? cos the drinks were v.v.v.small glasses n v.dilute n i rem telling the bartender to make the drinks thicker...even puked on my way back...good thing tt my leechie mum didn't see tt -.-"

Was rather amused tt the event photographer juz appeared outta nowhere to snap a few pics of a leechie during the event o.O" well, my fren tried to console me by saying tt pretty gals face this kinda prob...hmmm, i guess a leechie shall take tt as a compliment then ;p was really surprised when som ppl came up to me, asking if i'm was rather unexpected but cool B-) when i told my leechie mum tt, she said tt leechie really looks like my pic n tt i look like her -.-" spare me pls...whenever ppl compliment tt leechie is pretty, my leechie mum would say tt i look like her...but i can safely bet tt if anybody were to say tt leechie is ugly, my leechie mum would confirm say tt i don't look like her de -.-" btw, mr.stingy sms me during the event asking me where i was...but he was too stingy to join us n gave som silly excuses (sorry tt a leechie simply can't resist poking fun of how stingy mr.stingy is) ;p

Btw, my fren juz returned from korea...came all the way to expo to pass me my stuff...he actually managed to buy all the stuff in my long shopping list...except for the items which were discontinued there...well, i gotta say tt leechie is impressed manz...he really got everything on my leechie list...even the limited edition hello kitty lipgloss n mascara from etude house...yay...but he seemed rather shocked with my long shopping list n said to me..."v.scarry much stuff...r u sure u use all these?" o.O" well, he doesn't know abt the huge amt of stuff tt leechie got recently during the private sales...oops :-X btw, leechie likes the sweet smell of the strawberry yoghurt mask...smells so yummy...keke ;p

i saw this line on my fren msn status: "人生短短几十年,不要给自己留下了什么遗憾,想笑就笑,想哭就哭,该爱的时候就去爱。。。。" o.O

I know this is gonna sound corny...but for these couple of days, i keep getting many smses n calls from a particular leechie fan...who claimed tt he has a crush on a leechie...i'm rather flattered by the attention...but excuse me, u don't even know me -.-" i'm juz a normal kid who is full of my leechie crap...not some international pls don't waste ur time on a leechie who can't reciprocate ur attention -.-" but i can consider setting up a leechie fan club if there is sufficient ;p ( was juz my A380 ego at work again ;p)

Life will never b the same, life is changing! dedicated to all tony robbins fans here =)

Leechie was there at UPW 2009!!!

Leechie did the firewalk too!!!

Tony & his watergun at UPW2009! ya n i was part of this madness ;p

Rem tt life will never b the same, life is changing...

O.o Legacy of Two Great Men o.O

Juz got to know tt the very company tt my granduncle founded n sold off has launched its IPO!!! quite a surprise to me when i first saw its name as ppl were discussing abt it in the forums @.@" apologies tt i don't think it's appropriate to name the company here...btw, leechie has no "insight" to this company...not sure who my granduncle sold it to o.O"

My granduncle was an illiterate man who frequently came ovr to my grandfather...seeking his help with letters...both great men r no longer around today...but their legacies live on n different manners...for my granduncle, the tt he founded n sold off has launched its still bears the same name today...well, he was getting on in years then n with tt, all the elderly ppl probs came along...anyway, his family inherited his wealth from the proceeds of the sale of tt company...i still rem how he used to come ovr to chat with my grandfather pretty frequently during the weekends...tears well up in my leechie eyes as i recall the smile tt he used to wear on his face...not particularly close to him...but i used to see him around pretty frequently when he was younger n in good health...

My grandfather was not illiterate but he didn't become rich like my granduncle...but thru my grandfather, i learnt abt the basic values of life such as compassion, honesty, integrity, filial piety etc...he's a great man...the manner in which he had treated others n helped many ppl...always putting others before himself...many hundreds of ppl attended his funeral...sometimes, u can really tell how one has lived his/her life juz by looking at his/her funeral n the no. of ppl who came n how sad they were at the funeral...although he's no longer with us, but his legacy lives on thru his descendants (us) in the form of these basic asian values...leechie is really proud to be one of his descendants...leechie needs more tissue now...sobz

Well, two very different men...both their legacies live on...long after they hav passed on...well, tt's my leechie goal...leechie wanna leave behind my very own legacy...which live on n on...something that people will still remember and thank me for, even when i'm no longer around anymore...even after i'm long gone!!! hope this serves as a motivation to u too...

Coco before Chanel...her legacy lives on n on...o.O

Leechie happened to b at Iluma ovr the wkend...saw som cosplay-ers posing for i joined in the fun...check out the pics ;p went ovr to the UNIFEM "Buy To Save" charity flea pre-loved white jacket, beige skirt n Roberto Cavalli t-shirt...didn't see the ink-stains on the white jacket until some sales staff at a shop at Parco pointed them out to me when i showed them my haul from the charity flea -.-" well, they made noise abt how exp the stuff were n how they weren't value for money...but i told them tt it's for charity! -.-" anyway, my leechie mum didn't waste money sending me to sch...i managed to remove the stains myself using some solvents ;p

Btw, juz found out tt the telcos recently changed their corporate plans...n the discounts r v.miserable as compared to what they offered previously...n the worst part is tt i still havent sign up for one yet...crapz -.-" was thinking abt which corporate plan i shld switch it aint tt attractive to subscribe to a corporate plan as compared to previously...-.-" went down to Singtel (not a good time to go down to Singtel these days cos Hello shop was full of ppl waiting to buy iphones n whatever phones o.O") n Singtel folks wanna me to get a new phone to switch to corporate plan...but i'm juz not-ready...dunno which phone to get manz...still thinking...cos i hav abt 1000 contacts in my phone...n i figured tt i would experience probs juz transferring the contacts ovr to another phone if it's not a sony ecrisson phone...haiz -.-" most imptly, i juz wanna reduce my phone bills...cos my latest bill is already >$70 when my plan is only the most basic classic plan -.-" i guess one of the most attractive plans out there is offered by M1...u get unlimited calls n web-surfing for abt $200/mth ...i guess this would b pretty useful for ppl like my leechie uncle whose phone bills range from few hundred bucks to a thousand each month @.@"

Didn't go to Zoukout on sat...havent been to Zoukout before actually...went ovr to 2 private events instead...honestly i forgot how many drinks i had...but had a heart-to-heart chat with a fren until abt 3+am...this fren was trying to offer a leechie his "uncle" piece of advice...somtimes, i feel tt he speaks like my leechie mum...trying to pressurize a leechie into settling down? but certain things cant b rushed de mah -.-" anyway, had a funny dream on sat nite, i actually dreamt of the same fren treating leechie to a really nice dinner...well, it was definitely a dream...can't imagine a stingy guy like him to b generous with a leechie -.-" Fact ---> he made leechie walk a few bus stops on sat nite cos he no wanna take cab -.-"
somhow i feel tt leechie still gives ppl the impression tt i'm juz a little gal eh?even sales staff mistook me for being a student o.O" anyway, told him tt we can still hang out for drinks even if we were attached/married to others in future =) i believe in building relationships for a lifetime...but apparently not many ppl share the same beliefs as a leechie...perhaps, my character n interests r more like those of a guy's? so i find it easier to talk to guys, rather than gals...i guess any guy interested in a leechie would hav to live with the fact tt leechie is always surrounded by guys o.O anyway, my leechie mum thinks tt leechie is a loser cos i don't hav any really close female frenz n i always go to sales alone -.-" any guys out there who like to shop? ;p fren helped leechie buy the limited edition Agnes B dumpling bag with AB hearts (only avail in Japan) and charm during her Japan excited...juz went to collect the stuff! when i showed my leechie mum the AB hearts bag n bling bling charm, she said tt leechie shld start using the bag soon n tt the charm is sooooooo pretty...well, tt's a rare compliment coming from my leechie mum ;p Btw, another fren went to Korea for skiing...n he offered to help a leechie buy more skincare n sweet...keke ;p leechie sent him a really long updated shopping list...oops ;p he juz called me from Korea saying tt he got my stuff...well, i gotta say tt i'm impressed...cos i had som guys asking me previously what's a blusher o.O" shall update on the loots once he's back ;p

Shiseido private sale was super packed manz! could hardly squeeze to the front to try out the colors -.-" saw this pregnant lady squeezing here n there...i fear for her safety manz...rem seeing another pregnant lady squeezing around at the sale last year too o.O" anyway, leechie bot 6 Maquillage eye palettes ( deal) and a few eyeshadow singles plus a few other cosmetics damage came up to abt $500 o.O" the Cle de Peau Beaute loose powder was really good 2 before they were snapped up...but too bad that they ran out of fairer shades for the couldn't get any...well, there's always next year ya =) btw, they were selling their Cult "la cream" there at reduced price...heard tt it's retailing at abt $800+ at their counters...didn't get tt...cos leechie is trying to finish up my tons of moisturizers at ;p bot a shiseido foundation for my leechie mum...she was with her fren when i called...well, she told her fren what i bot for her...n her fren really sounded like sour grapes ;p then leechie pop by Lunasol counter to collect my "Dazzling Nite" eyeshadow palette from Fall 2009 collection which juz arrived from japan =)

Juz realized tt there's a clearance YSL sale at Isetan...knew abt it too late more YSL loose powder for a leechie ler...crapz -.-" so i only got an eye palette n powder foundation refill...btw, anybody who wanna head down to Isetan...beware of the stuck-up YSL sales assistants there -.-" these snobbish YSL sales assistants seemed to derive joy from looking down at ppl n liked to apply their "r u sure u can afford YSL?" look at a leechie, who was dressed rather casually, n looks like a student -.-" let's face the reality...Luxasia had decided to pull YSL outta Singapore...for reasons best known to themselves o.O"

Leechie also bot a really cute hello kitty tote bag (from less ;p) n again, the sales assistant thot tt leechie is a student who wanna use the hello kitty tote bag as a school bag o.O" saw pretty bling bling hello kitty watches...but my leechie mum thinks tt it's super duper childish to wear hello kitty watches -.-" well, ppl r already laughing at my pink Baby-G watch o.O" btw, u can order customized pretty hello kitty bling bling mirror for abt $200...yup, there aint a typo...the hello kitty mirrors r going for $200 each!!! @.@" juz realized tt there is some purchase with purchase promo at the Sanrio section...y didn't those 2 sales assistants tell a leechie anythg abt it??? -.-" their hello kitty charms r sooooooo pretty n leechie no hav =(

Saw a few guys accompanying their gfs to the private sweet...leechie envies those gals...not tt many patient guys around...esp when those q can b horribly long...n time spent in juz the q alone can go up to a few sweet...i can safely bet tt if my leechie dad (man of almost zero patience) were to see a leechie in the looooooooooooooooooooooooooong q, he will juz tell me to put back everythg n juz go to the counters to buy whatever crap tt i want! -.-" btw, heard tt there were many ppl queuing ovrnite to buy iphones again...singaporeans simply lurrrrrve to q eh? ;p

Global Internet Seminar + Crazy Week of SALES ;p

Leechie pop ovr to Expo yest late afternoon for Global Internet Seminar...well, i was pretty only caught the Ewen Chia segment n tt of an Australian Chinese guy whose name i dunno...well, the package tt Ewen Chia was promoting looks pretty interesting...still considering...bumped into a fren there...according to him, only Ewen Chia and the Twitter guy (think his name's Sean...not sure cos i totally miz all his parts) interest him...he said most of the speakers were rather boring but many, many ppl crowded around the twitter guy, trying to get a piece of him! My fren took up the twitter package. Despite his magic tricks on stage n how he was trying to keep a bored audience awake with his gongfu-fighting thingy, we aint impressed with the Australian Chinese speaker -.-" i said to my fren abt the gongfu-fighting bit...if this guy can make simple instructions sound so confusing...then what's gonna happen in his course? ;p anyway, leechie wanna open a clickbank hope tt u all will support me k? =) (shall update u all once my account is opened =))

A crazy week of sales:
- Prestige Private Sales (they carry Paul&Joe and Givenchy n many ulu fragrance brands tt leechie aint familiar with)
- Loreal Warehouse Sales (the Keratase, Redken, Loreal Professionel deals were attractive)
- Elizabeth Arden Private Sales (limited range of cosmetics and fragrances)
- Uniqlo Opening Sales (discount on selected items...but v.messy everywhere @.@")

Leechie took leave to go to Prestige Private Sales...arrived at 11+am n the place didn't look tt packed...well, cos ppl alrdy started queueing up at 8 am n rushed in when the doors opened at 10.30 many stuff were all snatched by the time a leechie made her appearance -.-" but leechie still spent abt $170 there...mostly on Paul&Joe cosmetics...mainly their eyeshadows...they only had 5 colors of the eyeshadow loose powders n i bot 4 of ;p bot a Paul&Joe lipstick for my leechie mum...but the q to the cashier was super looooooooooooooong n hardly moving...n the cashiers were not sure of the actual prices...then the staff needed to double check the prices here n there...i guess i was stuck in tt q for almost 2hrs? leechie happened to q behind a few ladies from my HQ n was rather amused with their conversation n comparisons of who has more cosmetics stuff...not tt i was trying to eavesdrop but i guess anyone in the vicinity could hear them well n clear...oops :-X btw, a piece of leechie advice here...nvr ever buy cheapo stinko fragrances for those ppl who walk around u on a daily basis...otherwise, u might need to put up with those stinko fragrances when they use them ;p

Loreal Warehouse Sale at the expo was super duper crowded!!!leechie pop ovr on fri nite...n managed to grab som medical skincare...n the salon brands haircare products tt they carry...the Keratase deals were attractive so leechie bot alot of their stuff...but it's after office-hours n most of the brand mgrs were not around...n som of the sales promoters were not v.sure of the stuff tt they were selling...many ppl crowded around the cosmetics section...good thing tt leechie aint a big fan of their cosmetics so need not squeeze with the huge crowd there...but the q to the cashier was a went all the way down to the staircase n up stuff were rather heavy...thankful tt som ppl in the q were nice to help me with my heavy stuff...but leechie was stuck in the q for almost 3 hrs...spent abt $500 in total on haircare products n som medical skincare o.O" my parents came to pick me up...cant imagine how i could go back with those heavy stuff by myself -.-"

Pop by the Loreal sale again on sat...juz before going ovr to Global Internet was really nice to see one of the medical sales n training mgrs...met her at a previous Loreal sale...she's v.nice n had previously recommended me som great stuff to use =) she commented tt leechie still look the's a change...cos most ppl usually comment tt leechie looks diff when they don't see me for a couple of ;p

Went to check out Elizabeth Arden Private sale on sat aftn before going down to expo...well, despite them having items on sale...leechie still managed to pick up a few cosmetics try out their bronzer soon...hopefully, leechie won't look too weird or a shade too dark! @.@" Btw, leechie won an Elizabeth Arden day moisturizer -> "Ceramide Plump Perfect Lotion" (worth $139) in a facebook contest recently...shall do some update after i have tried the product =)

Went down to Somerset 313 after the seminar on sat nite...they extended their shopping hours to 11 pm =) but Uniqlo was super duper packed n messy...som items were reduced in price...but many colors n sizes were outta stock -.-" my facebook fren also went to their sale on thurs but only got a shirt...but this leechie bot 4 pairs of jeans on sat ;p leechie kept forgetting to remove my shoes when entering the fitting rooms...think the fitting room supervisor aint too amused with a leechie...oops ;p

Btw, it has come to my attention tt some pathetic hypocreeps having been copying my ads again...n even hav the cheek to call me up to check on my stuff? -.-" shall i console myself with the statement tt "imitation is the highest form of flattery"? o.O" or shall i start a copy-writing class instead? -.-"

Facebook Quiz: ENTPs In Love

Saw this quote true...haiz -.-"
"Isn't it ironic? We ignore the ones who adore us, adore the ones that ignore us, love the ones who hurt us and hurt the ones who love us."

Leechie took a facebook quiz n it says tt she is an ENTP! Well, this keeps changing with the many different quizzes tt i take...mayb she has a split personality? ;p b scared...keke ;p

Still waiting for "The One" to appear in my life...but somehow some of the following parts seem to b pretty true eh? o.O"

"ENTPs in Love

For the ENTP, falling in love occurs when they feel that there is a good fit with the other person. Often within the first meeting, ENTPs will know whether the relationship has any "real potential."

ENTPs may find it difficult to commit to anyone until the right person comes along. During this period, ENTPs explore the possibilities of social companionship and the various kinds of closeness until they can be certain that they have looked at all of the possibilities. Because of this, they are not likely to settle down early. When they do become involved in a relationship, they generally want to maintain as much independence and freedom as their loved one can tolerate. Their mates may need to have high self-esteem and to be independent themselves in order to accept the ENTP need for freedom and novelty.

Often when an ENTP selects a partner, it is on the basis of the fit between the partner and the overall conceptual framework of what the relationship might be like. An American ENTP engineer explained how he met and married an attractive and sweet woman from Germany. Her "kinder, kuchen, kirche" (children, kitchen, and church) behavior and her pleasant personality matched his concept of the ideal partner. She had the attributes of the perfect wife who shared his life's goals, the ideal mother who would raise fine children, and the devoted community volunteer who matched his own commitment. His intuition that they would have a mutual meeting of needs was accurate because his wife took joy and pride in these activities.

For ENTPs, falling out of love, which may not always occur, results when their vision of the relationship does not square with reality. Sometimes they will select someone who offers stability and comfort and ENTPs later will become bored with the stability. When scorned, ENTPs use their powerful and broad-reaching analysis to explain the reasons why the relationship was not good in the first place; additionally, they may become competitive with their former partner and work hard to win. ENTPs do not like to lose at anything they undertake."

Been pondering ovr the following phrases...-.-"
"幸福是靠自己去爭取的~不管是友情或愛情~~錯過了就沒有了..." but "有些事情你现在不必问,有些人你永远不必等..." haiz -.-"

"A True Life Reflection" From CNA Forummer

Get your tissues ready ~ tears streamed down my leechie face as i read the following posting from a CNA forummer!

"4 years ago, an accident took my beloved away and very often I wonder, how does my wife, who is now in the heavenly realm, feel right now? She must be> feeling extremely sad for leaving a husband who is incapable to taking care of the house and the kid. 'cos that is the exact feeling that I have, as I feel that I have fail to provide for the physical and emotional needs of my> kid, and failed to be the dad and mum for my kid.

There was one particular day, when i had an emergency at work. Hence, I had to leave home whilst my child was still sleeping. So thinking that > there> was still rice leftovers, I hastily cooked an egg and left after > informing> my sleepy child.

With the double roles, I am often exhausted at work as well as > when I am> home.. So after a long day, I came home, totally drained of all > energy. So> with just a brief hug and kiss for my child, I went straight into > the room,> skipping dinner. However, when I jumped into my bed with intention > of just> having a well-deserved sleep, all i heard and felt was broken > porcelain and> warm liquid! I flipped open my blanket, and there lies the source > of the> 'problem'.... a broken bowl with instant noodles and a mess on the > bedsheet> and blanket!

Boy, was I mad! I was so furious that I took a clothes hanger, > charged> straight at my child who was happily playing with his toy, and > give him a> good spanking! He merely cried but not asking for mercy, except a > short> explanation:

"Dad, I was hungry and there wasnt anymore leftover rice. But you > were> not back yet, hence I wanted to cook some instant noodles. But i > remembered> you reminding me not to touch or use the gas stove without any > adults around,> hence i turn on the shower and used the hot water from the > bathroom to cook> the noodles. One is for you and the other is for me.> However, I was afraid> that the noodles will turn cold, so I hid it under the blanket to > keep it> warm till u return. But I forgot to remind you 'cos I was playing > with my> toys...I am sorry Dad...

At that moment, tears were starting to run down my cheeks...but I > didn't> want my son to see his dad I dashed into the bathroom > and cried> with the showerhead on to mask my cries....

After that episode, I went towards my son to give him a tight hug > and> applied medication on him, while coaxing him to sleep.> Then, it was time to> clear up the mess on the bed. When everything was done and well > past> midnight, I passed my son's room, and saw that he was still > crying, not> from the pain on his little buttock, but from looking at the > photograph of> his beloved mummy....

A year has passed since the episode, I have tried, in this period, > to focus> on giving him both the love of his dad and mum, and to attend to > most of> his needs. And soon, he is turning seven, and will be graduating > from> kindergarten. Fortunately, the incident did not leave a lasting > impression> on his childhood memories and he is still happily growing up.

However, not so long ago, I hit my boy again, with much regrets. > This time,> his kindergarten teacher called, informing me of my son's absence > from> school. I took off early from work and went home, expecting him to > explain.> But he wasnt to be found, so I went around our house, calling out > his name> and eventually found him outside a stationery shop, happily > playing> computer games. I was fuming, brought him home and whack the hell > out of> him. He did not retaliate, except to say, 'I am sorry, Dad'. But > after much> probing, I realized that it was a 'Talent Show'> organized by his school and> the invite is for every student's mummy and> that was the reason for his absence as he has no mummy.....

Few days after the caning, my son came home to tell me, the > kindergarten> has recently taught him how to read and write. Since then, he has > kept to> himself and stayed in his room to practise his writing, which I am > sure,> would make my wife proud, if she was still around.> 'cos he makes me proud> too!

Time passes by very quickly, and soon another year has passed. > It's winter,> and its Christmas time. Everywhere the christmas spirit is in > every> passer-by...xmas carols and frantic shoppers....but alas, my son > got into> another trouble. When I was about to knock off from the day's > work, the> post office called. Due to the peak season, the post master was > also on an> edgy mood. He called to tell me that my son has attempted to post > several> letters with no addressee. Although I did make a promise never to > hit my> son again, I couldn't help but to hit him as I feel that this > child of mine> is really beyond control. Once again, as before, he apologized, ' > I'm> sorry, Dad' and no additional reason to explain. I pushed him > towards a> corner, went to the post office to collect the letters with no > addressee> and came home, and angrily questioned my son on his prank, during > this time> of the year.> > > > His answer, amidst his sobbing, was : The letters were for Mummy.

My eyes grew teary, but I tried to control my emotions and > continued to ask> him: " But why did you post so many letters, at one time?" My> son's reply was: " I have been writing to mummy for a long time, > but> each time I reach out for the post box, it was too high for me, > hence I was> not able to post the letters. But recently, when I went back to > the> postbox, I could reach it and I sent it all at once..."

After hearing this, I was lost. Lost at not knowing what to do, > what to> say....> > > > I told my son, " Son, mummy is in the heavenly kingdom, so in > future,> if you have anything to tell her, just burn the letter and it will > reach> mummy. My son, on hearing this, was much pacified and calm, and > soon after,> he was sleeping soundly. On promising that I will burn the letters > on his> behalf, I brought the letters outside, but couldnt help opening > one of the letter before they turned to ash.> > > > > > > > And one of the letters broke my heart....

Dear Mummy,> > > > I miss you so much! Today, there was a> 'Talent Show' in school, and> the school invited all mothers for the show. But you are not > around, so I> did not want to participate as well. I did not tell Dad about it > as I was> afraid that Dad would start to cry and miss you all over again. > Dad went> around looking for me, but in order to hide my sadness, I sat in > front of> the computer and started playing games at one of the shops. Dad > was> furious, and he couldnt help it but scolded and hit me, but I did > not tell> him the real reason. Mummy, everyday I see Dad missing you and > whenever he> think of you, he is so sad and often hide and cry in his room. I> think we both miss you very very much. Too much for our own good I > think.> But Mummy, I am starting to forget your face. Can you please > appear in my> dreams so that I can see your face and remember you? I heard that > if you> fall asleep with the photograph of the person whom you miss, you > will see> the person in your dreams. But mummy, why havent you appear?

After reading the letter, I cant stop sobbing. 'cos I can never > replace the> irreplaceable gap left behind by my wife.....

For the females with children:> > > > Don't do so much overtime. If you cannot finish the work, it must > be some> kind of problems within the company, and it is not your sole > problem.> Feedback to your boss. Endless overtime may not necessary be the > answer to> the problem. Take> care of your health so that you can treasure and take care of your > little> precious.

For the married men:> > > > Drink less, smoke less, cos nothing can replace your good health, > not even> business nor clients.> > > > Try thinking this way, are you able to work till your clients are > totally> dependent on you? or your boss is totally dependent on you? In > this> society, no one is indispensable. > > > > Take care of your health, so that you can take care of your little > precious> and your loved ones.

For those singles out there:> > > > Beauty lies in loving yourself first."
