Guess what??? i finally managed to get tix to hop onto the KTM before it ends its service at the Tanjong Pagar station!!! bugged Audrey to go with leechie on a v.short trip to JB Sentral =) not sure if it was due to the excitement or the ice lemon tea tt my mum bought me...i couldn't zzz the nite before the ktm trip =.="
Well, this was the first time tt i arrived earlier than Audrey...lol...i'm usually late for sales n workshops...n silly me took the instructions on the train tix literally n arrived more than half an hour before departure =.=" so i went around the train station taking pics...i was everywhere except for the queue to hop onto the train...sorry, it has been donkey years since i last took the KTM train...so i'm such a noob...didnt know tt we need to queue...so we found ourselves at the end of the looooooooong queue o.O"
This train station holds many fond memories for a leechie...i used to come over to the muslim eatery here to watch the live soccer matches...esp World Cup n Euro Cup matches!!! i'm not particularly fond of the food here...but juz to soak in the atmosphere during the World Cup/Euro Cup season...it would be rather boring to watch matches by oneself ya o.O"

Cargo train at JB Sentral
The train journey took more than an hour before we reached JB Sentral...Audrey's parents came to pick us up from the train station n brought us to brunch at a nearby halal restaurant...v.yummy beehoon! btw, i noticed tt the stray kittens by the back alley there look so skinny compared to the ones here in sg o.O" btw, Audrey's mum is already 72 years old this year...but she has NO WRINKLES!!! not even on her neck! totally no wrinkles at all!!! all the la pairie works manz...she looks more like in her late 50s o.O she was telling me how she massaged her face n neck when applying all the la pairie...leechie really gotta brush up on my massaging skills manz!
Her dad drove us around for sight-seeing...the sea view is really lovely manz...ya, her bro's new house is sooooo near the sea n boosts a beautiful sea view! went to their house for durians...rem the "tofu car" tt Jay Chou drove in the movie Initial D? well, her bro has a "tofu car" tt looks exactly like the one in the movie manz...was really amused with it ;p

This was my first trip to City Square...n i realized how overpriced the stuff in sg r! bought a pair of jeans from Mango...tt shop is juz like an oven...there was a F.O.S. outlet there too...plenty of good deals there...i bought a "Sex and the City" t-shirt, H&M t-shirt n a Miss Cindy polo tee for a total of 101rm only!
Btw, bought some charcoal bread (the bread is entirely black in color) under Audrey's recommendation...it's yummy =) i was v.amused with the color ;p my mum prefers the black glutinous rice bread though...Audrey also bought a box of tao sah piah for my leechie mum =) btw, the tiramisu from the JB Sentral train station is nice too ;p
There was this toy shop selling all kinds of hello kitty n angry birds stuff! Audrey bought a pretty set of ceramic hello kitty plates n i bought a hello kitty mouse (my mum was like...didnt u juz buy some mouse from the PC show? well, i couldnt resist a pretty hello kitty mouse, can i? ;p)
The Face Shop there was having some special promo n i bought alot of facial sheet masks to stock up...keke ;p i didnt expect to buy muchie stuff before the trip n i was scared of pickpockets so i only brought abit of money with me...so sad...spent all the money before going back o.O" was totally tired when we arrived back in sg...but this was a fun trip =) Audrey was like...we shld do this more often...provided u shop faster! lol ;p
Took plenty of pics of KTM Tanjong Pagar station...too many pics in fact...i need to sort them out first...stay tuned for the pics ya =)
Btw, i'm flying off to HK soon...wont have internet access so my response to emails n fb msgs will be delayed! hav patience ya...cheers =) i'm abit ambitious...plan to cover hk, macau, shenzhen in 4days...lol ;p
