Review of Cellnique Ultimate Glow Express Kit

Received Cellnique Ultimate Glow Express Kit directly from Malaysia just before the Lunar New Year and this Express Kit consist of Derma Regenerating Treatment Cream and Vital Cellular Repair Serum. I'm excited to try out this express kit after reading the promising ingredients list. The kit can reduce wrinkles and promote wound healing and results are expected to show within a week of usage! I was busy trying to juggle my usual Chinese New Year spring cleaning along with 101 other things, and my sleeping hours were compromised as a result. My skin looked dull and Cellnique Ultimate Glow Express Kit looks like the radiance booster that my skin badly needs!

Let's take a quick look at some of the ingredients found in this express kit and why in my humble opinion, I think these ingredients look promising:

Derma Regenerating Treatment Cream (to reduce fine lines and wrinkles)

BioCELL eL: Cellnique’s exclusive acid complex formulation of AHAs, Citric Acid, and lactic Acid for acceleration of cell renewal rates, enzymes and vitamins for neutralization and prevention of possible irritation on sensitive skin by the acids.

Glycolic AHA: Skin rejuvenation by exfoliation of dead skin cells to promote growth of new cells to replace the damaged cells. 

Retinol: Increase collagen production and antioxidant which helps in anti-aging and mitigates acne and photodamage.

Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): Antioxidant, anti-aging, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory with enhanced SPF properties.

Vital Cellular Repair Serum (to promote wound healing)

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Vitamin C): Powerful antioxidant and whitening agent, with both anti-acne and anti-aging capabilities.

Live Yeast Extract: Antioxidant and stimulates wound healing and tissue-repair. 

Wheat Germ Extract: Effective moisturizer and combats skin irritation. 

Sodium Hyaluronate: Powerful humectant that attracts and binds onto water, making it a great moisturizer for skin hydration.

Sodium PCA:  Natural compound of the human skin and binds moisture to the cells which makes it an excellent moisturizer with anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties.

Application:

Derma Regenerating Treatment Cream can be applied directly to the face and neck area after toner both in the day and night. This treatment cream is to be applied evenly with up and outward circular movements until it is fully absorbed. Due to the presence of AHAs in the ingredients, it's recommended to start usage on alternate days first before progressing to daily application. Some tingling and minimal stinging sensations may be experienced by sensitive skin. I have sensitive skin but this product works fine for me and I only experience slight tingling sensation. Broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 should be applied during the day. I like how Derma Regenerating Treatment Cream contains Vitamin E, which enhances the effectiveness of any sunblock that is subsequently applied in the day. Retinol in the product helps to protect the skin from free radical damage. I like the silky smooth texture of this cream and it's easily absorbed by my skin. My skin looks smoother and brighter after application of this cream. This product helps to reduce wrinkles and I notice that my fine lines also look less obvious too.

Vital Cellular Repair Serum is to be used after Derma Regenerating Treatment Cream both in the day and night. This serum is to be applied with up and outward circular movement until it is fully absorbed. I like the light citrus scent of this serum. The texture of the serum is light and non-oily and is easily absorbed by the skin. This serum can be used by all skin types and is a great radiance booster. It can repair skin cells, regenerate tissues and promote wound healing while replenishing moisture as well as to lighten skin tone and tighten large pores. My skin feels more hydrated and looks brighter after application. My skin tone looks more even and fairer even though I'm already very fair to begin with.

Lillian Too Fengshui Extravaganza 2016

I guess I could be an early starter cos this annual event on 3rd Jan was my first event of 2016! Wishing everyone here a Happy New Year! Interesting to learn about the various good and negative sectors for 2016 and the possible enhancers and cures that could be used. It's always nice to see the various beautiful Fengshui jewellery and accessories that Aunt Lillian Too has designed for the new year. I sat next to a nice lady who happened to be the same age as my leechie mum and she flew in from Hong Kong to attend this seminar. Aunt Lillian Too has launched a new colouring book and I understood from some statistics that colouring books are amongst the bestsellers on Amazon!

Grand Opening of Valentino Boutique at Marina Bay Sands

Congratulations Valentino on the grand opening of the new Valentino boutique at Marina Bay Sands. It was a star-studded affair with 4 international celebrities flying in for this grand opening. When I reached the event before 7pm, I was surprised to see screaming fans lining the walkway. There were rows and rows of screaming fans lining the other floors of MBS by the time I left the event at 8+pm! Kpop princess Jessica was the celebrity that fans most eagerly waited to see. Tvb star actress, Charmaine Sheh, n actress, Linda Chung, n singer actor, Pak Ho, were specially flown in for this grand opening. I was star-struck by all the star dust surrounding me. Lol. Thanks friend for the lovely invite to this star-studded grand opening party.

Review of LPG® 10% Peeling Procedure and Intense Hydrating Smoothing Serum

Thanks Anna and Christine for the kind media invitation to the Official Launch of LPG® Endermologie® Cosmétiques - Face & Body Line at LPG® Endermospa, Ngee Ann City in late October. I have since returned for my trial session of LPG® 10% Peeling Procedure in late December and would like to share with you my experience at LPG® Endermospa, Ngee Ann City.

A little background on LPG® 10% Peeling Procedure:
The LPG® Peel works its magic by exfoliating the skin and boosting cellular regeneration. This superficial peel formula contains 10% acid and is a synergistic blend of glycolic and mandelic acids for optimal anti-ageing results while reducing skin damage risks. Face Endermologie is the only technology capable of natural reactivation of production of skin essentials necessary for youthful-looking skin based on a 2013 Humbert Study: collagen for firmness (+23%*), elastin (+46%*) for suppleness and hyaluronic acid (+80%*) for hydration and re-plumping action.

The therapist first carried out the endermolift on my face which lasted around 20 min and I like the lifting vibrations on my skin. I pointed out my problematic areas to the therapist and she concentrated on my chin area to try to produce a V-shape look. The therapist carried out the treatment on the right side of my face first so that I could compare it to my left. My right face looked visibly much more toned as compared to my left which had not undergone the treatment. Learnt that this treatment stimulates collagen production which can last for about a month. So the recommended frequency of treatment would be around 3-4 weeks lapse in between treatments.

The therapist then applied the 10% acid peel which is a synergistic blend of glycolic and mandelic acids. Those with sensitive skin like myself might experience slight itch on the skin during this 5 min before application of a neutralizer to neutralize the acid. But I'm happy that this treatment is safe and suitable for even people with sensitive skin!

I'm a fan of facial serums cos serums usually contain the highest concentration of potent ingredients and are lighter in texture than moisurizers and facial creams. I just tried out the new LPG intense hydrating soothing serum. I like how it deeply hydrates my skin without leaving any oily residue. Love the light texture and the soothing effects! Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition at Marina Bay Sands

Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition came to Singapore in December at the crystal pavilion at Marina Bay Sands. It was interesting to see the French artisans at work, putting the Petite Malle together. I had to make 3 trips before I could catch them in action as each of my visits coincided with their meal breaks.
