Review of Sothys Hydra3Ha Hydrating Home Care

Sothys is a French family business which has been handed down from one generation to the next and will be celebrating their 70th year anniversary this year. Thanks Sothys Singapore for the kind invitation to attend the bloggers event held at Bakerin. It's interesting to learn about the technology used in Sothys Hydra3HA hydrating home care range over afternoon tea.

Sothys Hydra3Ha line acts on 3 main actions: Restore, Regenerate and Re-activate. Star ingredients used include:
High molecular weight hyaluronic acid: for restoring and retaining hydration on skin surface
Patented 1055 boletus extract and regulating active ingredient: for reactivating skin's hydric memory
Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid: rapid moisture penetration and skin action within the skin

This 3 dimensional approach provides and extremely powerful hydration which commences from deep within the skin cells at the gene level to the surface moisture barrier.

Sothys beauty trainer sharing with us the technology behind Sothys Hydra3Ha hydrating range

Sothys Hydra3Ha hydrating home care range include: hydra-smoothing mask, intensive hydrating serum, hydrating gel-cream, hydrating cream.

One of my favourite products in this range is Sothys Hydra3Ha intensive hydrating serum which increases hydration by up to 60% and reduces water loss by 36%. I have very sensitive skin n suffer from urticaria. Each urticaria attack leaves my face red and itchy and results in subsequent peeling. I tried this serum on my face and love the hydrating effects on my skin!

Hydra3Ha hydrating gel-cream provides continuous hydration of up to 8hours. Like the non-oily texture of Hydra3Ha hydrating gel-cream which is easily absorbed by my skin. It soothes tightness on dry skin. I also tried the hydra-smoothing mask from the trial kit. I used it as an overnight sleeping mask and like how it helps to lock in moisture. Prefers this more moisturising texture compared to the usual gel sleeping masks in the market.

I like how this Tiramisu iced coffee drink is served with a scoop of ice cream. Quite a few of the other bloggers also ordered this after I commented that it's nice =)

My dessert choice at Bakerzin during the bloggers' session: Sweet Pleasure. Think this dessert has undergone modifications to its appearance over the years but I still love the hazelnut dacquoise base, along with the crunchy praline, Jivara ganache, chocolate chantilly cream and thin layer of chocolate.

F1 Sky Grande Prix Party at The Empire

Thanks Clozette for the kind invitation to F1 Sky Grande Prix party at The Empire. It was a night of fabulous fashion show and party at level 45 with great views of the F1 tracks as well as awesome night scenery from the balcony. With great company of course =) Was quite surprised that the crowd at The Empire came in quite early, perhaps due to its excellent location at Raffles Place? I was at another event before this and arrived just before 10 pm. We had a table in the open air at the balcony and were quite glad that the haze had cleared quite a bit after the rain. The fashion show by Vanilla Luxury commenced just before midnight and jazzed up the party. It was a night of beautiful fashion and great crowd coupled with pulsating music and awesome views of the F1 track. Thanks Clozette once again for the lovely invitation =)

This was the awesome view of the F1 tracks that I was getting from The Empire.
Tried asking the staff, "My friend has a table at the balcony near the entrance. Any idea where is it?" And he was like, "It's a balcony all around" lol

One of the styles from the Vanilla Luxury fashion show at Sky Grande Prix F1 party. Love the bling bling on the head-dress and chain details on the dress. Photo taken by friend, with editing done by yours truly.

Another interesting style featured at Vanilla Luxury fashion show at Sky Grande Prix. Enchanting head-dress paired with elegant white outfit. Again, photo was taken by friend, with editing done by yours truly.

Table situation at the Vanilla Luxury fashion party at Sky Grande Prix at The Empire: I already had 5 glasses of Moet champagne at another event prior to this and I could hardly drink from this bottle and I later gave all my drink coupons to a friend.

I've attended a few F1 parties over this F1 weekend so will collate most of the photos from this weekend into this post...my health have been affected by the haze and not sure why I felt giddy and had headaches while shopping so I decided it was better for me to stay away from the buzzing crowds on some days...

I love the night views of the F1 tracks and it's always nice to see the tracks from somewhere really high. Guess those with homes and offices next to the F1 tracks are really blessed and you could even hold your own private F1 parties away from the crowds ;p I was at the F1 party at Zafferano last year and went to the parties at The Empire and Altimate this year. You could compare the awesome views of the F1 tracks from both venues from my photos posted here. I stay not too far from the F1 tracks and I used to be able to hear the roaring engines from my place a few years ago before they changed the racing route.

Johnnie Walker Altimate Circuit Party on friday night, and apologies for looking so tired in the photo cos that was my third event of the night

Another photo with the Johnnie Walker models at Altimate Circuit Party

Awesome view of the F1 tracks from Altimate

Check out the reflection of the Johnnie Walker logo in this photo captured by my friend. Well, I just adjusted the lighting and contrast of this picture. Somehow looking down at the huge crowd of people at the Padang concert kinda reminded me of those Workers' Party rallies not too long ago...well, I prefer to watch from a distance at times...

Thanks The Podium Lounge and sponsors for the door gift at The Posh Pitstop for ladies to freshen up before the commencement of the night activities.

The Body Coach Live in Singapore!

Thanks Sapient Nitro for this lovely event during which the guests could meet The Body Coach, Joe, live in person here in Singapore. A crowd of ladies were very enthusiastic about meeting this hunk. Thanks Selvafoods and Wander Wine for the awesome Acai berry and wines served during the event. Appreciate the healthy food and drinks served during the event. I even had the opportunity to mix my own juices, courtesy of @DailyJuiceSG.

Ladies were going gaga over how gorgeous Joe is. Heard some ladies telling him to stay good-looking like this. Btw, check out those biceps! o.O

Joe just won over more ladies with his tears when he was asked about his mum during the Q&A session. Appreciate the British host for his sense of dry wit and sense of humor.

Me being me, wouldn't miss out on a selfie opportunity with the very buff Joe

Bustling scene during the event

A closeup of the yummy Acai berry served by Selvafoods during the event...it was sooo good that I asked for a second serving ;p

Awesome Acai berry from Selvafoods and wines from Wander Wine served at the event. The Acai berry tasted just like ice cream without the cream! Unfortunately, I have developed an intolerance towards the cream from ice cream recently and started to puke after eating ice cream so this Acai berry is perfect for me!

Food trays at the event

A flatlay of: @dailyjuicesg that I mixed myself at The Body Coach event, freshly baked cookies from Dorothy Perkins event, soothing and mattifying primers courtesy of Makeup Forever Singapore, bling bling Topshop socks from Zalora x Topshop media launch party, limited edition SG50 scent from popup by Allsense (the company that does the scents for Ion Orchard) and my DIY bracelets from Luxasia Balmain event.

First Year Anniversary Party of Bistro 1855 Suntec City

Thanks Vivien for the kind invitation to Bistro 1855's first year anniversary party =) Bistro 1855 is tucked away at Tower 4 of Suntec City (it's not too far from the former Carrefour premises at Suntec). For those who take the centre circle line, someone at our table mentioned that it's just steps away from Promenade Station. It has been quite some time since I last stepped into Suntec City so I'm quite surprised to see that most of the major renovations have been done and that many new shops have opened.

Group Ceo, Mr. Patrick Sng, was giving his welcome speech to the guests when I arrived. We were served canapes and drinks while enjoying the live music performance from their resident band "Two Shades". There was sales promotion for selected wines, with up to 30% discount on top of the already affordable price tags. Thanks for the opportunity to try out some of Bistro 1855's signature dishes as well as wines. Do scroll down for my humble thoughts on some of the dishes served.

Congratulations to Mr. Patrick Sng and team on your first anniversary! Check out the cute t-shirts that some staff were wearing: "Don't say we bojio" which translates loosely to mean that "don't say that we didn't extend an invite" ;p

Bustling scene at the first anniversary party of Bistro 1855 at Suntec City

Yummy salmon toasties and Boston lobster rolls served. And that's an enthusiastic blogger trying to capture photos of the food ahead of everyone else...lol

The light and refreshing Salmon Toasties with swirls of Loch Duart Smoked Salmon served over crusty garlicky toast is one of my favorite dishes of the night; I'm a simple person and salmon always works for me.

The refreshing serving from the ocean, "Boston Lobster Roll": Tangy citrus marinated Boston Lobster Laced tucked nicely atop freshly toasted soft bun.

I thought that this Asian-fusion dish "Squid Ink Otah with Boston Lobster" is rather interesting. It's essentially home-made squid ink otah with chunks of lobster meat. Lobster dishes are gaining in popularity at the boutique events that I attend. But this is the first time that I have tried otah with such an unusual twist.

The Serrano Pork Cheek is simply yummy! Love how the slowly braised and tender pork cheek is served with creamy mash and specially mixed raspberry chili jam. This masterfully executed dish is definitely the culinary pride of Bistro 1855. You have to try this awesome dish!

Fresh Turkish Figs: These luscious Turkish Figs which are dressed with ricotta cheese and drizzles of Manuka honey are really very fresh and nice! This decadent dessert is for sure, a commitment piece after your meal.

Eclairs are always a welcome for the sweet-toothed.

Free flow of different wines and beer served for the party. I tried the different wines and personally prefer the one in the magnum bottle (apologies that I didn't note down the name of that particular red wine). Bumped into a lady who was waiting at this section and I'm happy to serve her drinks cos I can understand how busy the f&b situation can get and I always used to double up to serve guests at those events that I used to organize.

Group Ceo, Mr. Patrick Sng picking out winners during the lucky draw segment and he actually drew out his own card from the bowl. lol. Congratulations to the lucky winners who went home with bottles of wine and dining vouchers.

A toast at our table: Please pardon the messy table situation

Another group photo

Fun at the photo booth by Pixcaso Studio: Notice how I can still smile after getting hammered on the head? V. professional ya? lol. Thanks Bistro 1855 for the fun evening and lovely door gift.

Selfie time for narcissistic me ;p

And of course, me being me, wouldn't miss the opportunity to take a selfie with the pretty gold and silver balloons =D

And I took a wefie with Mr. Patrick Sng too =)

Congratulations once again and thanks Bistro 1855 for the lovely evening.

Guests were served Singapore Sling cocktails as well as other Singapore-themed canapes during the event. It's nice to attend such a Singapore-themed event so close to National Day. It's always nice to catch up with friends while checking out the new arrivals. Thanks Fendi for a lovely evening!
