How To Be Happy? o.O

"This is AWESOME ... something we should all remember.
A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.
His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.
As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window. I love it,' he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy. Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait.' 'That doesn't have anything to do with it,' he replied. Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. 'It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.
Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away.. Just for this time in my life.
Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.
So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories! Thank you for your part in filling my Memory Bank. I am still depositing.
'Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less."

V.powderful from nmk:

"Steven Covey's famous 7 habits for successful people are nothing more than a free adaptation of very common Hokkien phrases (surprised ?)
So why pay thousands of dollars to attend talks when your ...grand-parents, parents, spouses and even the auntie who sweeps the floor.
can give you the same kind of advice FOC, everyday?

Habit No 1:
... Be Pro-Active
Kin Ka Kin Chiew ( Fast leg, fast hand )

Habit No 2:
Sharpen the Saw
Toh Bua Lai Lai ( Make the knife sharp )

Habit No 3:
Begin with the End In Mind
Ooh Tao Ooh Buay ( Have head, have tail )

Habit No 4:
First Things First
Chik Hung Chik Hung Lai - Ban Ban Lai
( One thing at a time, slow and steady ); or
Cho Tow Seng
( Do first ; talk later )

Habit No 5:
Think Win-Win
Long Chong Ai Yarh ( Must win everything )
This is definitely not thinking win-win. This is a zero sum game.
Win everything!

Habit No 6:
Seek To Understand Rather Than To Be Understood
Cho Lang Ai Eh Beng Pek ( You must be understanding )

Habit No 7:
Synergize
Tai Kay Ai Hup Chop ( All must cooperate )"

N the 8th Habit from Kit:
LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP

Wealth Mastery 2009

Good thing tt we were sitting near the front o.O

Check out Keith Cunningham's pretty wife, Sandi =) guess she noticed a leechie taking pics of her...guess she muz b wondering y this jap tourist keeps snapping pics of them ;p

Keith was rather amused y ppl wanna take pics of him...although Keith says taking pics of him won't make one rich...but i was alrdy there...don't wanna miz the opportunity to snap som pics...keke ;p

Special thanks to my fren, Darius, for making the necessary arrangements so tt leechie could b a part of this seminar...really appreciate it...thx alot =)

Day 1:
Juz returned from day 1 of the wealth mastery seminar...it's a TNT event... which means "Tony Not There" event...lol...but he got his master trainer here instead...v.small crowd today (only abt 600 ppl). rem tt a fren was sharing with me abt fear n greed the other day...one thing tt the trainer shared today was..."decision made from a place of greed or fear is always a wrong decision" i really need to get my psychology right! Learnt tt the most impt thing is one's resourcefulness!!! Btw, leechie had v.nice roti prata at expo foodcourt...v.yummy...keke ;p

Day 2:
They mentioned tt there were 850 ppl of us...well, such a big increment overnight? o.O" they printed out our financial plan...well, i guess they didn't see the decimal place tt a leechie indicated on my form...n tt's how i ended up with a financial plan which is wrong -.-" 1 of the speakers today was Chuck Mellon n 1 of his rules of trading is: we should nvr turn a winning trade into a losing one...well, i'm guilty of tt at times...is it bcos of my A380 ego? tt i refuse to admit tt i'm wrong?

We played a really interesting "ring-toss" game tonite...there was a mkt-maker who got to decide the price of the rings, a few brokers with rings tt one could buy from as well as a banker (not sure what was the role of the banker...i didn't get to see him at all @.@") well, i guess they were trying to simulate the mkt conditions...could really feel how chaotic it was...with ppl all rushing to buy the rings (v.limited nos. avail) from the brokers n from the other participants...at rather ridiculous prices at times...could really feel the excitement n euphoria...looking at these participants, now i could feel how silly i was to chase up the stock prices when the mkt was euphoric -.-" haiz...i know tt i shld buy low n sell high...but y am i not doing tt? haiz...they keep stressing tt success of investment is mainly 80% (if i rem this no. correctly) dependent on psychology, n 20% on the tools/strategies...

My leechie idol, keith cunningham, made his appearance tonight...he spoke abt the 5 biggest mistakes tt ppl make in biz...i guess i hav heard him speak on the same topic before...but it was a good revision...again, he described abt how he meet his wife, Sandi...it was the 2nd time tt i heard him speak on this subject...but nevertheless, tears started to flow from my leechie eyes as he spoke...v.touching...

Btw, leechie bumped into a fren tt i haven't seen for donkey years...rem i was lamenting abt how i tend to go shopping alone these days? she was one of my shopping buddies back in sch...lol...n she mentioned abt shopping together again juz nw...not too sure if this is a good idea for my leechie pocket? o.O" well, in my conscious n subconscious minds, leechie is in denial of being a shopaholic...but i cant lie to myself eh? -.-" anyway, my stingy fren (let's call him mr.stingy from now on k? or how abt uncle stingy? ;p) sent me an sms the other day saying tt God (btw, leechie is not a christian) won't give us who we want...but rather who we need...so was she sent into my life again to go shopping with a leechie? o.O"

Day 3:
Took a lift from my parents today...but was still late -.-" Overwhelming day...had 7 speakers today...info overload manz @.@" esp when there was conflict between what the different speakers said -.-" one uncle participant gave me pretty sensible advice -> when in doubt, do nothing...u don't need to trade...o.O" leechie was a tired kid...dozed off when they showed the tony robbins video clip in the dark -.-" btw, leechie took som pics of my leechie idol, keith...managed to get pics of his pretty wife, Sandi, as well =)

Day 4:
Another day of sales pitch...didn't sign up for anything -.-" but i got 1 of tony robbins dvds...well, thot tt it might b better if there were not so much sales pitch...btw, 2 of the speakers wore black shirt n pants n belt n shoes...so looked kinda confusing...1 guy spoke on fx n another on futures...well, juz realized tt leechie had heard tt fx guy speak previously at T.Harv Eker's "Never Work Again" seminar half a year ago...but he was previously selling options course instead of fx...btw, he wore the same black shirt n pants n belt n shoes attire o.O" wondering if tt's supposed to b som standard attire for them? cos most traders always look so cool de B-)

Spoke to Gigi earlier in the day...she was one of our group's trainers...she still rem the question tt i asked her during the 1st day of the seminar during the financial planning segment...abt y shld i give up all my little luxuries in life? com'on...it's abt financial freedom...so u shld upgrade ur lifestyle...n not downgrade ya? hav to STEP UP!!!

Well, i learnt alot from a lady participant...who shared with a leechie abt her investing n biz history...went to attend an event tonite...bumped into a fren...havent seen him for donkey moons n was sharing with him abt what she went thru...somhow, a silly leechie juz couldn't control my leechie tears...then he ended up offering his entire pack of tissues to me...haiz...@.@" again, i forgot how many drinks i had...most probably >15? cos the drinks were v.v.v.small glasses n v.dilute n i rem telling the bartender to make the drinks thicker...even puked on my way back...good thing tt my leechie mum didn't see tt -.-"

Was rather amused tt the event photographer juz appeared outta nowhere to snap a few pics of a leechie during the event o.O" well, my fren tried to console me by saying tt pretty gals face this kinda prob...hmmm, i guess a leechie shall take tt as a compliment then ;p was really surprised when som ppl came up to me, asking if i'm leechie...lol...tt was rather unexpected but cool B-) when i told my leechie mum tt, she said tt leechie really looks like my pic n tt i look like her -.-" spare me pls...whenever ppl compliment tt leechie is pretty, my leechie mum would say tt i look like her...but i can safely bet tt if anybody were to say tt leechie is ugly, my leechie mum would confirm say tt i don't look like her de -.-" btw, mr.stingy sms me during the event asking me where i was...but he was too stingy to join us n gave som silly excuses (sorry tt a leechie simply can't resist poking fun of how stingy mr.stingy is) ;p

Btw, my fren juz returned from korea...came all the way to expo to pass me my stuff...he actually managed to buy all the stuff in my long shopping list...except for the items which were discontinued there...well, i gotta say tt leechie is impressed manz...he really got everything on my leechie list...even the limited edition hello kitty lipgloss n mascara from etude house...yay...but he seemed rather shocked with my long shopping list n said to me..."v.scarry ler...so much stuff...r u sure u use all these?" o.O" well, he doesn't know abt the huge amt of stuff tt leechie got recently during the private sales...oops :-X btw, leechie likes the sweet smell of the strawberry yoghurt mask...smells so yummy...keke ;p

i saw this line on my fren msn status: "人生短短几十年,不要给自己留下了什么遗憾,想笑就笑,想哭就哭,该爱的时候就去爱。。。。" o.O

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know this is gonna sound corny...but for these couple of days, i keep getting many smses n calls from a particular leechie fan...who claimed tt he has a crush on a leechie...i'm rather flattered by the attention...but excuse me, u don't even know me -.-" i'm juz a normal kid who is full of my leechie crap...not some international star...so pls don't waste ur time on a leechie who can't reciprocate ur attention -.-" but i can consider setting up a leechie fan club if there is sufficient demand...lol ;p (apologies...tt was juz my A380 ego at work again ;p)

Life will never b the same, life is changing! dedicated to all tony robbins fans here =)

Leechie was there at UPW 2009!!!

Leechie did the firewalk too!!!

Tony & his watergun at UPW2009! ya n i was part of this madness too...lol ;p

Rem tt life will never b the same, life is changing...

Gratitude Towards 77th Street for Sponsoring Leechie to Attend Anthony Robbins Live 2009 - Part 2

I believe tt things happen for a reason...juz like what Anthony Robbins said abt coincidences...coincidences dont juz happen by chance...coincidences happen cos u seek them! Well, leechie was feeling v.emo n tired abt a week or two ago...then i got the chance to attend this seminar...n i got to learnt how to stretch myself to stay in an energized peak state with only one meal break a day and long seminar hours n v.little sleep! Learnt to raise my standards and STEP UP! YES!!!
.

Hearing Anthony Robbins Live (Day 3):
The exercises tt we did today put us thru a wide range of emotions...trying to help us to experience how maximum pain would be if we would not change our bullshit limiting beliefs...damn scarry thots n feelings manz!!! After all these exercises, i'm glad to be able to gain better clarity towards stuff...Actually, the session was so intense (plus the v.fact tt i didnt take any lunch) tt leechie felt like throwing up during the session...n felt like fainting when i took my dinner subsequently...but i muz say tt it's time well-spent! Given a choice, i would still choose to attend this seminar n to do the firewalk!!!

.

During the exercises, i could recall scenes spent with my family as well as moments of gratitude v.easily...but I found myself struggling to recall romantic moments in my life...i guess tt is an area tt leechie gotta work on...i wanna hav at least some romantic moments tt i can recollect on my deathbed...Anthony Robbins mentioned something abt...som ppl are afraid to love cos they are scared of getting hurt...i guess there is alot of truth to tt...i guess leechie always makes the excuse tt i'm juz too busy to date...but tt is juz an excuse -> her story...i'm not gonna be an hypocreep here...the honest truth is...leechie is scared of getting hurt...my leechie heart is more fragile than what one would imagine...haiz...leechie muz b more brave...jia you!

.

It was a v.teary day for leechie but the energy tt we created today was simply awesome...there was even water splashing all over towards the end of the nite...my seminar workbook was wet manz! btw, leechie bumped into the same gentleman who teased leechie before the firewalk at the end of this evening...coincidence...
.
I could feel Anthony Robbins' geninue sincerity in wanting to help all the seminar participants! Relatively much lesser sales pitch as compared to a certain speaker tt i shall not name...out of due respect for this speaker's fantastic salesmanship n acute biz acumen...o.O"
.
Days 2 & 4:

We watched Anthony Robbins' precorded videos (apparently some of which were his videos from past "Unleash Your Power Within" seminars). I guess most of us would prefer to hear him speak live rather than via such videos -.-" We did alot of those massaging exercises during these 2 days...leechie massaging skills suck...but v.ticklish experiences for a leechie...i couldn't stop giggling whenever someone massaged my shoulders...@.@" And it was the first time in my leechie life tt leechie had 2 tai-tais massaging me simultaneously...n i muz say, they are really good with massages! So a tip here for those tai-tai wannabes -> perhaps it would give u an edge if you are really good at massaging? ;p
.
We also did alot of cheering and dancing and jumping around...leechie sat next to a 13 yr old gal on Day 2...she's also v.on so we had plenty of fun...but towards the end of the nite, leechie found it hard to really keep up with the energy level of a 13 yr old...@.@"
.
Day 4 was devoted to health stuff...on more healthy eating habits and ways of exercising...energy is v.impt for one to perform at peak state...
.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After hearing Anthony Robbins, T. Harv Eker, Robert Kiyosaki and Keith Cunningham speak live, i guess the next speaker tt leechie would be keen to hear him speak live would be Jay Abraham...the marketing guru! he came to singapore a couple of years ago...but leechie miz the chance to hear him speak then....

.

Sometimes, it feels abit surreal...but when i feel tired...i can draw strength from the v.fact tt leechie actually received a real physical push on the back from T. Harv Eker last year to motivate myself ya...i still feel honored when Robert Kiyosaki asked for my name when i attended his autograph signing session...leechie has 2 books with his autograph ;p then months later, Anthony Robbins stood less than 2 metres away from a leechie live in person...cool stuff manz! =)

"Way Back Into Love" -> one of leechie fav songs =)

Gratitude towards 77th Street for Sponsoring Leechie to Attend Anthony Robbins Live 2009 - Part 1

Look at the huge number of ppl queuing behind me, juz to get into the expo hall!!! @.@"

Leechie would like to express my heartfelt gratitude towards 77th Street and Ms. Elim Chew (leechie idol) for sponsoring me to attend the Anthony Robbins seminar! <3
.
Juz came back from Day 1: It's the first time tt leechie actually saw Anthony Robbins standing less than 2 metres in front of me LIVE! V.touched by the various stories tt he shared. Also inspired by Sister Teresa (who is 112 yrs old) who came. My leechie eyes were constantly wet...n wanna thank all the other participants for sharing...so tt leechie can learn more...
.
The FIREWALK experience:

When i told my fren earlier this morn tt leechie gonna do the firewalk...his response was like "siao...i love my feet"! leechie also loves her feet but LEECHIE DID THE FIREWALK! Yes, the coal was real, n the fire was real...REAL burning coal! But methinks whoever told me previously tt it doesnt hurt muz b juz trying to calm my leechie nerves only o.O"
.
Prior to the firewalk, we shared abt our fears n leechie thot tt the fire is juz like our fears n we hav to conquer our fears...if leechie can cross the fire, then i can conquer all my fears n b free of all my fears n i will be able to do anything! a gentleman shared with me tt the burning coal is juz like the path to success...n we have to take this path n he believes tt leechie can do it!
.
Lemme b honest here, leechie was damn nervous as i proceeded outside the hall...n a gentleman who was standing near me saw my "scarry cat" face n teased me n asked if leechie wanna make an U-turn...well, leechie was damn scared...but i always hear ppl talk abt doing the firewalk...so i'm damn determined to do the firewalk tonite! leechie was amongst the last few ppl to do the firewalk...n when i actually saw the burning coal...i was like "omg" n switched to another q whereby the coal looked more black n had lesser sparks (i thot tt was a good choice...apparently not, which i learnt later from my leechie mum who had done firewalk previously for religious reasons). The lady instructor pointed at my heart and asked me to focus...but when i saw the burning coal...leechie was freaked out manz...leechie is scared of heat...not to say fire...(i rem tt leechie always need my classmates to help me with boiling water during my high school lab experiments...cos too scared of the heat...) This time round, leechie had to conquer burning coal with nothing except my bare feet! Perhaps, leechie wasn't tt ready when she started the firewalk...cos when i put my first foot onto the burning coal...i was like "omg...this is damn painful!" and quickly stormed across the stretch of burning coal! In my haste, leechie even forgot to chant "cool moss" while doing so...but was really thankful when i reached the other side n the crew directed the water hose at my feet! leechie celebrated like crazy when i got to the other side! leechie even grabbed n hugged a lady who happened to b at the wrong place at the wrong time...lol ;p well, leechie lived to tell her firewalk experience! my leechie mum always teased me abt how i speak n walk too fast...well, walking fast does have its advantages ya ;p
.
When i returned to the hall, the other participants also shared abt their firewalk experiences...ya, they also feel the pain as they walked on coal...n many others also kenna burnt on their feet...leechie got a few blisters as well...a lady shared with me tt some senior mentors told her tt if one kenna burnt, then it meant tt one is not too certain abt one's goals! -.-" well, leechie's response to her was tt...the v.reason y i kenna burnt is bcos leechie has v.thin skin on my feet!ya, tt's y i usually kenna blisters whenever i wear new shoes (esp those not made of leather). n a medical doc shared with leechie previously tt the skin on our feet is v.thin...which is y scars formed more easily there...-.-" This is medical science vs urban legends! what is tis crap abt uncertain goals? tell me...even if one has damn damn certain goals but if one happens to hav damn thin skin on one's feet, would one still be burnt by burning coal? -.-" tell me!
.
Thanks 77th Street once again for sponsoring leechie's unforgettable firewalk experience! If i can charge across burning coal, then i can do anything, whatever shit it is! Come on, bring it on!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
My fren corrected me...i shld say tt leechie is a "scaredy cat" and not "scarry cat" @.@"
