This is a v.belated review on my visit to Kinki restaurant...i actually went there in early dec last year...this restaurant is at Customs House near ORQ...it boosts a fantastic window view of MBS...lovely ambience...guys, this is most certainly a romantic place to bring ur date to =) i was there alone for dinner on a weekday...n the surprising thing is tt i noticed a few ladies there were dining alone too...then a big group of bankers came in to occupy the centre section of the restaurant o.O

I had the cod fish main course with rice...the sauce accompanying the cod fish was unique n nice...n the serving was filling for me...then guess what i saw? there was this rather plump lady who was sitting opposite me n was dining alone...apparently what she ordered wasn't filling for her...then i saw her whip out her lunch box from her kinokuniya plastic bag n began to eat from her lunch box...then she caught my gaze...well, i was speechless @.@" well ladies, i seriously don't think that was a nice thing to do in an upmarket restaurant where reservation is a must! o.O"

Had a good dinner with Veron at this nice european casual dining restaurant "Table 66"...well, the prices dont look casual at all though =.=" n she was lamenting abt dining by ourselves...with no cutie guys to complement the nice ambience of the restaurant -.-"

There aint any pics in the menu...so i had to use plenty of imagination...well, according to veron...atas restaurants dont put pics in their menus o.O" After muchie deliberation, I decided to order their famous duck meat main course...tt was a really good choice...really v.yummy!!! ;p they do provide customization of main course...cos i asked for brocoli to be replaced by potato croquette =) the food was sooooooo tempting tt i forgot to take pics before eating it...n i had almost gobbled up most of the duck meat when i realized tt i had yet to take any pics -.-" well, a big boo boo for any foodie blogger ya =.=" but we all learn from mistakes ya...will take pics of yummy food the next time ya...meanwhile, u juz have to imagine how yummy the duck meat main course was...keke ;p

Veron ordered the dinner set which came with a soup, appetitizer, main course n dessert...I was quite amused to watch her eat the squid ink spaghetti appetitizer...her teeth n mouth turned black...yes, literally black @.@" well, she said tt it was v.tasty n appetitizing...well, a gentle warning -> a lady shld never eat this on a date lest she doesnt worry abt scaring away another potential date...but try this by all means if u dont fancy tt guy ;p

When Leechie Meets Lao Niu ;p

Can u spot leechie in the crowd? my leechie eyes n hands were glued to my mobile phone cos i was attending to sms queries on my networking event held later in the evening =)


Niu Er lao shi came to sg last yr but tix for his talks were all sold out before i could get any...so this would be the v.first time tt i'm showing my leechie face at lao niu's talk here o.O gotta thx Audrey for helping me book the tix n reserving seats...i was late for his talk today manz...so paiseh manz...cos attended Yue's opening party yest n drank abit too muchie (they were serving buffet n freeflow Martell drinks)...was nursing a hangover...as well as tending to calls n smses since 7+am this morn cos i was running networking event later in the evening o.O

Leechie has always been v.amused by why Niu Er lao shi refers to himself as Lao Niu...lol...learnt tt he's already 44 yrs old...but he has such good skin...n looks sooooooooo young...hmmmm, he can easily pass off as a 30yr old! o.O he started by sharing the various sources of vitamin C...white fungus n chicken soup...was quite surprised by the white fungus mask thingy o.O" he's v.warm n hugged many of the participants who went on stage...a participant was so excited with Lao Niu doing demo on her face tt her shoe fell off n she looked really nervous...lol ;p he did demo for massaging techniques on a few participants on stage...i rem reading somewhere tt he wakes up at abt 6am every morn n spends quite alot of time on his skincare routine...i already wake up at 6am every morn...was telling Audrey tt leechie gotta wake up at 5am if i were to do all the "patting" n massaging thingy tt he did @.@" but i admit tt leechie no hav massaging kungfu skills (btw ladies, i observed tt many tai tais hav v.good massaging skills ;p) Lao Niu did mention abt how Kose's massage gel can help clogged pores...now this got a leechie curious...will most probably go buy a tube to try out with my leechie lousy massaging skills o.O"

Lao Niu was really v.humorous...n he speaks better english than some Taiwanese celebrities...btw, was telling my leechie mum tt leechie's going to see Lao Niu in action...n my cynical leechie mum commented tt Lao Niu doesnt look as handsome as Kevin lao shi o.O" but the entire auditorium was packed with alot ladies n a few guys today...Lao Niu's really v.popular here! o.O saw tt Emily's v.happy while standing next to Niu Er lao shi...think she's one of Lao Niu's v.faithful fans who bot tix to both his talks n she even bot the vip tix today =) she was saying tt she was so happy tt she couldn't zzz after taking individual pics with lao niu ;p

Was lucky enough to be standing next to Lao Niu for the photoshoot...see his hand on my leechie shoulder? ;p Noticed tt he has v.good skin when i went to shake his hands...but when i got close to him, i could see his crow's feet n laugh lines o.O hmmmm, after meeting both Lao Niu n Kevin lao shi in person...leechie still prefers Kevin lao shi!!! ♥

Reached the seminar earlier this year...Auntie Lilian started by covering the flying stars chart for 2011 and then followed by the bazi chart before breaking for lunch...then she covered the 24 mountains and important aspects for each animal sign...leechie has been attending her seminars for a couple of years now...find the format slightly different this year o.O think she has more fengshui items for sale this year too! bot the red ruyi wallet n a mantra scarf...the scarf alone is close to $100 ler...ouchie =.=" Before attending the seminar, fren was telling me tt she aint planning to buy any stuff...but she ended up buying more stuff than me today...lol ;p wanna thank her for keeping me company during the seminar...had fun chatting with her too...gotta thank the internet for connecting ppl with common interests =) btw, my leechie mum was again commenting tt the pricing of the fengshui items sold there at the extragavanza being on the higher end as compared to the usual fengshui shops here o.O

Btw, there was somthg tt i aint too keen to mention much abt...but it seemed like an annual occurrence...i kinda regretted introducing my ex to fengshui...cos i always see him there at Lilian Too's annual fengshui event...what an eyesore -.-" but when i saw him there again this year, i'm v.muchie comforted by what i learnt from Joey Yap abt face reading...well, mr.ex's nose looks soooooo pathetic...tt served as a damn good confirmation tt he can never ever give me what i want in life! B-) n i aint being mean here...i'm juz stating what i learnt from face reading...i also learnt from a higher-being's advice tt i would be better off without him...he even raised doubts abt mr.ex's ability to even afford a 3-room flat -.-"

Joey Jazzing Up Raffles Convention Centre!!!

This was the first time tt leechie had attended Joey's annual fengshui talk in sg =) Was late this morn n miz part of his v.informative morning session...my broker saw me at the break n asked y leechie was so late =.=" apparently, he knew kacey from Joey's bazi seminar last yr...sg's a really small place ya o.O" aint amused with how i couldnt see nor hear v.clearly from the back (i was sitting at the v.last row in the room)...so i moved to the seats nearer the front...next to a BIG screen...n tt was when they were giving away books at a mini Q&A...leechie raised her hand n answered a question correctly n received Joey's "Walking The Dragons" book =) also picked up useful tips on face reading too...n for those who enjoy poking fun of my leechie mushroom nose, well, let's hope tt leechie will be the one who will have the last laugh...cos the lady sitting next to me told me tt ladies with my kind of mushroom nose tend to marry richie bizmen ;p btw, leechie likes Joey's BIG nose! lol ;p

When i told the aunties sitting in front of me tt i wanna buy Joey's compass (the one tt came with an instruction booklet) which ran outta stock...so thought of buying his template instead...although i dunno how to use either (leechie cant read too muchie chinese >.<)...n i dont hav a floor plan too...they were v.amused with a leechie n poked fun of me...saying tt i'm v.cute n tt leechie shld go buy a condo apartment on sales at the exhibition booth outside the room first n then i'll have a floor plan n tt she could lend me her paper template to draw on the floor plan...lol ;p she even did a demo to show me how to draw using her paper template which was given out during Joey's previous seminars o.O

Leechie enjoyed Joey's seminar v.muchie n i like Joey's cool sense of humor...although he has the tendency to speak quite fast at times o.O i like how he described liars as those ppl who r "economical with the truth" lol ;p also like how he tried to link the outlook to bazi n face reading...he actually covered alot of stuff n introduced some interesting concepts...more of modern fengshui =) i ordered a copy of his BaZi Day Pillar Forecast Report for 2011...my leechie mum was again v.pleased with Joey tt leechie didnt go back with any fengshui decorative items...lol ;p i also bought tix to his july seminar here...looking forward to it =)

Btw, the v.first time tt leechie met Joey in person was at his "Design Your Destiny" seminar held at MBS last yr (u can read more abt it here: http://leechietheleech.blogspot.com/2010/09/joey-yaps-design-your-destiny-day-1.html ) i didnt have the chance to get his autograph nor take pics with him then...so i'm glad tt he signed my books (i only brought along a small skinny book...decided to leave his other relatively much heavier books at home o.O") n took pics with a leechie on sat =) well, leechie is v.muchie flattered to receive plenty of compliments for the pic taken too...keke ;p btw, i juz saw pics of Joey's KL seminar in which he presented in a brown suit...i know this is gonna sound abit bimbotic...but i actually thought that Joey looks good in brown n earth tones =) Well, i always think tt guys look cuter in pink ;p

Leechie with her CNY RED leechie hair after spending 4 hours at Kim Robinson o.O my leechie hair was cut by their resident cutie stylist...i finally decided to have red highlights on my copper-tone hair after muchie deliberation...n the technician added 2 more streaks of highlights to my leechie hair after my feedback on the color job o.O happy to receive compliments on this new look =) well, could tell tt my cutie stylist aint too patient when he commented tt i already look like some Korean superstar after i told him to trim my leechie fringe to make it look more horizontal =.="
