Back From Bangkok

Leechie is back from Bangkok...but what a turbulent flight! I didnt realize that my air ticket actually included a free roller coaster ride too...well, i could have gone to Universal Studios if i really wanted a roller coaster ride =.=

Seeing the huge rich-poor parity in bkk makes me think more of my own life here...

Good thing that i bot this pair of pretty pink Chanel inspired shoes from Chatuchak mkt...cos my shoes were still wet after being badly drenched in the rain...

One of the shop owners at MBK actually gave me this watch for free upon hearing that i'm from Singapore...n i didnt even buy anything from him o.O

Wore this big ribbon with leopard prints on the day we went to Grand Palace...so that my mum wouldnt lose me in the crowd o.O

Our nice n spacious hotel room...but the aircon was too cold...

I'm spending alot of time at the yoga centre these days...well, the fact there's an eye candy yoga instructor does help to motivate ya ;p i can go there as a newbie, without knowing what to expect...he really does help me to stretch...n sometimes i cant help but burst out giggling....n he'll be like: r u crying or laughing? o.O

   One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the road-side eating grass.

When I Grow Up...

Brought my mum to the studio to take pics...but she's rather camera shy...i ended up taking some pics there...lol ;p btw, no photoshop was done on the pics here ;p

Was reading the sunday newspaper...in which some real estate agent was reported to be earning $70k per month...well, how many real estate agents u personally know actually earn that amount? o.O" feel that the media could be glamorizing certain industries n professions =.=" professions such as nursing or construction dont seem to receive such coverage ya? somehow, i feel that an overly rosy pic of the real estate profession n industry is being painted when there r thousands n thousands of struggling real estate agents out there...well, the property companies n their agents do contribute a more than significant amount to the advertising revenue of the media....so i'm not surprised by the glamorous coverage ;p anyway, there r some property agents out there who serve high net-worth clients n only rub shoulders with the rich n famous n lead a glamorous lifestyle, staying in posh districts...guess nobody will know how much money they spend juz to keep up the appearances n that they could have hardly any savings at all n cant close that many deals despite their efforts...well, that would be what i would term as "looking good on the surface only" ;p

Sojourn: Malacca June 2012

Went Malacca for a v.short weekend trip...there were so many tourists this time round as compared to nov last yr...even Jonker88 was closed way before dinner time -.-" we had wanton mee at the shop next door...not the most delicious thing around...

had my fav chicken rice balls...took the river cruise at nite...lovely nite scenery peppered with many splashes of the dirty river water on my face =.= we were given a nice suite at Equatorial hotel...i watched Euro Final in the suite...but dozed off during half-time...it was alrdy the 85th min when i woke up o.O" i went with only 2 pieces of luggages...but returned with 4 pieces of heavy luggages bursting at their seams...bought plenty of food...my family love the yummy peranakan chilli sauce that i got from the Bibik shop at Jonker...the nice owner let me put my stuff at his shop while i go shopping around for more stuff...lol...

We were discussing abt how some ponzi schemes might work...first, they will lure ppl in with an attractive payout scheme...then subsequently suck more ppl in with more funds to pay those who had invested their funds earlier...n it goes on n on...no offence to anyone...this is juz to raise awareness n for education purposes only! this is not an inducement to invest in anything so pls consult ur banker or broker for financial advice =)

Question: If these self proclaimed financial gurus r so successful, do they still need to go around trying to sell products, saying how good their products r? Shouldn't these ppl be happily retired instead of doing sales?? 

Anyway, past performance is not indicative of future performance...sometimes they can paint a v.rosy pic to entice the greed in u n only highlight the possible gains without even mentioning the possible risks

Anyway, i only found out to my horror that the yoga centre which had pressurized me to sign up 3yrs yoga membership has such a dubious membership pricing scheme that i actually paid much more per month as compared to other members who signed up for 2yrs membership! -.-" frenz voiced their concerns cos it's still a big question mark if this yoga centre would still stay in operation before the expiry of my 3yr yoga membership! Lehman Bros was deemed to be too big to fail previously too! N we r talking abt a small little yoga centre on our little red dot? o.O" btw, the "Lemon Law" which is meant to protect consumers' interest would only kick in later in sep this yr...haiz =.= can u see how sour my face looks?

Life's full of irony. But I still appreciate the listening ear n humor. Thx nmk n everyone here who cares abt me!

Literally kenna burnt...by hot tea...it's less red now but the pain is still there...pic taken due to request by a certain mr. Sherwin who wanna show his concern for my watch =.="

Our conversation went like this:
Me: "Ok. Mr. Sherwin. U can show ur concern now"
Sherwin: "you have a very nice watch"
"and matching Sleeve"
Me: "my dirty watch asked me to thank u v. much for ur concern =)"
Sherwin: "Watch where have dirty? ... its white wad"
Me: "my sleeve says it prefers to hang out with another prettier watch..."
"it's white n dirty...look carefully la...u need to b more observant if u wanna show ur concern...mr.sherwin...u can do better than this..."
Sherwin: "okay lah... put some ice on the area... can already... no worries, you'll live, no need to amputate"
David: "hahahahha......"
Thousands: "looks like you are pretty accident prone type.. do take care."
Me: "cos i only have 2 hands but tried to open the door while balancing a flask of hot tea n a cup of hot coffee...both spilled...n the hot tea landed on my wrist...i have over-estimated my balancing abilities....i need to do more yoga or join a circus...lol..."

The burnt marks r still there even after a few days =.="

Our conversation continued as follows:

Me: "The hot tea lor. N my watch says it feels v. Lucky to have escaped! -.-""
Sherwin: "it's okay... still no need to amputate..."
Me: "Thx for ur concern eh. Mr. Sherwin. Thx for ur highly informative insights eh" 
Sherwin: "Why that is very sweet of you miss Tono, I just saved you from being the One Arm Leechie...."
Me: "... My watch thx u for giving it another arm to hang onto. So sweet of u. Really!!"
Sherwin: "errr... your watch can go on my arm ^^"
Me: "My watch thx u for ur kind offer. But he's v. Faithful n prefers to hang around my arm only"
