Surviving Battlestar Galactica ;p

leechie with her fav castle =)

Outside the Mummy ride...

Where's my fairy godmother? o.O

Where a leechie belongs? lol ;p

I'm back!!! Had a tiring but fun day at Universal Studios ;p the first ride that i took was the Mummy ride...i didnt expect it to be so scarry...so i screamed n screamed with my eyes closed x.X" also took the kiddy treasure hunt ride...after tt, i went to take the jurassic rapids ride...i was quite amused to see most ppl wearing ponchos...i thought there would juz be some minor splashes here n there n tt it wouldn't be tt bad...so i didnt bother to wear any ponchos...damn bad choice...i was v.wrong! cos a HUGE wave came in from my side n i was literally drenched from top to toe -.-" u should have seen the horrified look on some ppl's faces when they saw me...yes, i was really in a v.sorry state...n it was only so early in the morning...so i had to go bake myself dry =.=" i waited for close to an hour for this ride earlier in the morning...later, i learnt from a colleague tt he didnt manage to take this jurassic ride cos the waiting time was 2hr so he didnt bother @.@" btw, this silly leechie went to Universal Studios in a little black dress cos i thought of going to a party directly after Universal Studios...didnt expect to get sooooooooo wet...haiz =.="

Jurassic Rapids ride which caused leechie to be completely drenched from top to toe -.-"

Next, i went to queue for the Canopy ride...silly me waited for a damn long time cos i didnt know tt there was an express queue for single riders -.-" anyway, i didnt expect the movement to be so jerky n fast n i screamed n screamed again with my legs dangling in the air x.X" then i went over to Far Far Away to take the junior roller coaster...it was fast n again i screamed my heart out! think those ppl sitting near me were traumatized by my screams x.X" but it didnt sound scary when Aly described all these rides to me...damn, leechie is a scaredy cat =.="

Gotta say tt the special effects at Waterworld were really good...really enjoyed the show =) a few of those ppl who sat in the blue splash zone were splashed with water...juz when the hot sun kinda baked leechie dry again...silly leechie stood in the front row to watch Lights, Camera, Action n there was a huge object which dropped right in front of me n again, i was badly splashed...dont rem this huge splash the last time i watched it last year -.-" crapz...really had a bad hair day manz -.-" but still took plenty of pics although i feel sucky...think i'm getting pretty good at self-portraits ;p btw, i was really amused when i had such a bad hair day n yet this "Marilyn Monroe" called me Gorgeous...lol ;p but seriously, leechie is far from being perfect n i have my own insecurities too...i'm only a leechie...

Check out the set at Waterworld o.O

lurve the special effects at Waterworld =)

V.cool manz B-)

As the day went on, i kinda developed greater resistance towards trying battlestar galactica...leechie is a scaredy cat x.X" i even went to try the kiddy ferris-wheel...lol ;p then i bumped into my colleague who told me to try the 2 battlestar galactica...but they were experiencing technical difficulties when i pop over to enquire abt the human (red) one...so i went over to try out the accelerator instead...finally experienced how it was like to be "centrifuged" lol ;p but the spinning wasn't as bad as what i expected...then, i ended up at battlestar galactica again...the human (red) one was operating by then...i summoned up all my leechie courage n stepped into the queue o.O when i told the family in the queue tt this would be my first time on a roller coaster...they poked fun of me n told me tt their little gal fell outta the roller coaster previously (well, there wasnt a little gal in their family...only 2 small boys =.=") anyway, i darent look...juz screamed n screamed like hell n was in tears at the end of the ride! the little boy put his hands to his ears to shield himself from my screams x.X" the speed went up to 90 km/hr but everything was over in 90s! i did it!!! lol ;p then i was hanging around the Cyclon (blue) battlestar galactica which was supposed to be more scary than the human (red) one...was told tt there would be a total of 5 cockscrew 360degrees turns...gosh...i was hesitating...but it started to rain by the time i gathered courage to try it...n they had to suspend the ride...too bad...i guess some things are not meant to be...=.=" n i bumped into the same colleague who asked me to try both battlestar galactica...he liked the cyclon (blue) one so muchie tt he wanted to take the ride for a second time but it rained before he could take it o.O btw, i was not the only one who took the roller coaster in a dress...saw another pretty girl in a dress at battlestar galactica ;p

Calm n steady before challenging Battlestar Galactica ;p

It's taking me higher...higher...higher...off the ground...;p
how appropriate...lurve this song ;p

Think i tried almost all the rides except for the dino kiddy ride n the Shrek 4D show (which i watched twice when i was there last year)...i had to rush back to shower before attending the Balaclava launch party...i find it such a pity tt Universal Studios is not open at nite...cos i really like the charming nite scenes...esp the nite view of the castle!!! besides, my eyes always squint when taking pics in the hot sun =.="

Btw, i sent a few frenz msg saying tt "i'm contemplating taking roller-coaster for the v.first time in my leechie life...hope everything turns out fine...otherwise, those might possibly be my last words ;p" guess some frenz were abit surprised n yet worried when they saw my msg...but don't worry, leechie survived the red battlestar galactica! ;p

leechie n her frog prince...lol ;p

leechie with a Mummy o.O

Baby dino which moves ;p

lurve the lovely ambience of this bar inside Universal Studios =)

Another self-portrait ;p

They were playing this song at Universal Studios...

3 years ago = sales manager $4000, now = dishwasher $6/hour

Tears rolled down my leechie face as i read this following article which first appeared here (http://www.transitioning.org/2011/04/12/3-years-go-sales-manager-4000-now-dishwasher-6hour/)
Think for a moment if this could happen to u too...juz be prepared...just like the popular saying goes..."life's unpredictable"...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Written by: Gilbert Goh

"I have met up with Kelvin thrice so far and am always amazed at his survival instinct and determination to look at the bright side of life despite the adverse odds that plagued him these past few years.

Kelvin is an avid reader of our Transitioning. Org blog.

The fact that we are born on the same year – 1961 also helped to draw us closer as close buddies.

Used to earning $4000 a month as a sales manager just three years ago before been retrenched during the global financial crisis, he is reduced to ekking out a living as a dishwasher now making $6.00 an hour at a cafeteria – a lone Singaporean amidst a sea of foreigners in this service-orientated industry.

Single, articulate and focused, Kelvin tried to see things from a glass half full than half empty perspective and perhaps this is how he has thrived all this while – even when things went pretty much downhill the past few years.

He has a diploma in management from SIM and used to work with the SAF for 11 years as a navy communications supervisor. His last drawn salary was around $2000 then.

He later went on to do sales for another ten years earning between $3000 – $4000 and living quite a comfortable life.

He travelled widely and provided well for his two ageing parents. As he stays with them in a fully-paid HDB 4-room flat, he could save up quite a lot and thought that his retirement plan is pretty much in place. He has no lack and life was simple but comfortable.

He has no fancy dream to upgrade to a condo like most Singaporeans do and after several failed attempts to get hitched, he decided to stay single.

“Maybe marriage life is not for me!” he qulped. “And moreover, it could be a blessing in disguise as many of my friends’ marriages broke up.”

His perpetual sanguine remarks peppered the several meetings we had over the past two months and I told him that he had the hallmark of a survivor in him.

Retrenchment

Like many PMETs during the 2007 global financial crisis, Kelvin was retrenched from a $4000-a-month sales job and life went very much downhill from then on.

After sending out thousands of emails for work vacancies and countless failed interviews, he decided that he could not hang on anymore.

Moreover, his savings were mostly exhausted and he has two aged parents to take care of. He tried out security work for the past two years drawing a salary of around $1200 a month.

The security job provided for his basic necessities and soothed the frantic desperation in him when his life savings – meant for his retirement needs, dwindled down to the low thousands.

Nevertheless, the shift work nature of the security field soon took a toil on his frail body.

He had three operations on his weak heart before and a pacemarker was finally installed so that he could breathe properly. In all, the operations wiped off $40, 000 from his CPF accounts. He also panted easily and could not take up any work that taxes the physical part of him.

He has to quit from the security job after two years as he feared that his weak body may not be able to take the physical strain anymore without futher damaging the impaired heart.

Failed Business Venture

During these few months, he tried his hand at setting up a business in Myamar and sank $20, 000 into the venture. It was a telecommunication business venture.

He knew that he would not be able to make it back in the sales line industry as there were less than five interviews throughout a 12-month period despite thousands of applications emailed out.

The venture bombed badly on him and he recounted how the failed business made him looked silly and incompetent.

“Maybe I am not cut out for business, Gilbert,” he told me.

“The business partner in Myamar simply said that the venture could not carry on anymore due to some legislation and the $20, 000 that I sank in completely went to ashes.” There was no recourse for any compensation and it took him a few weeks before he could accept that his money was as good as gone.

Part of the money was from his life savings and the other part he took out from banks’ overdraft.

Bankruptcy

Ominously, he was sued by three banks as he utilized his credit cards and overdraft to survive during that period. The accrued total amount owed was only $16, 000.

He is down to his low thousands and fortunately his sister helped to pay for the flat’s utilities bills and general basic necessities.

He is now waiting for the bankruptcy suit as he didn’t want to keep paying the minimum payment to the three banks.

I told him that it was silly to be made a bankrupt because of a $16, 000 debt.

“Its never ending,” he told me. “The amount never dwindled and if you make a payment late, the penalty fee could be as much as $50.”

“You ended up just servicing the interest monthly but the principal is always there – umoved.”

Personally, I have never seen a person welcoming bankruptcy so readily. Many people would have borrow, beg or even steal to pay off the small amount to avoid bankruptcy but not Kelvin. Perhaps, the strain of having to find enough money to pay off the monthly minimum payment took such a toil that on him that its better to face the music now than dying in a slow painful death.

However, the bankruptcy suit also brought about a ugly twist of event.

I was troubled to receive a string of texts from him last month asking me to check with a lawyer whether the bailiff could be barred from entering the person’s home.

Normally, when a bankruptcy suit is entered here, the court will appoint a baliff to serve notice to the occupiers that the home’s possessions will be seized and sold off as part of the bankruptcy’s writ.

This was troubling Kelvin a lot as he did not want his aged parents to be bothered in any way by his financial misjudgement.

He told his dad about the writ and he freaked out calling him names that were unprintable. He loved his parents very much and the last thing he wanted is to implicate them in any way.

Hurt and wounded, he decided to move out so that he could change his address and hopefully the baliff will find him at his rental place instead of his parents’ home - where he has stayed for the past 49 years.

He is still at odds with his aging dad.

Dishwashing Job

In his desperation, he took up a dishwashing job which paid around $6 an hour. He worked the night shift from 6 to 10pm.

“At least my basic necessities of food and transport are provided for,” he told me in his usual cheery disposition.

He told me that he needs about $500 a month to survive on and still could give about $200 to his parents as pocket money. I told him that many Singaporeans spent $500 a week alone on food!

“There is nothing much for me to hope for now except to have three meals a day and a roof over my head,” Kelvin told me the last time that we caught up over dinner at Plaza Singapura foodcourt.

“It’s also fortunate that I am single as I don’t have to really provide for my family. I can’t imagine what will happen to my family if I have to work as a dish washer to provide for their needs. My wife will probably leave me.”

Kelvin hoped to see more priorities in employment given to local Singaporeans who are in transition. There is hardly any policy that sees to the rehiring needs of local Singaporeans – like giving them some priority over foreign workers.

“There are all kinds of work permits that allow our employers to hire foreigners over local Singaporeans!” he told me in a rare display of frustration.

“I have given up applying for sales positions as after three years of trying, I have more or less given up hope that I am able to return to my old trade.”

“Maybe I will be a dishwasher for the rest of my life…”

Kelvin is only 49 years old and as I looked at him that day, his situation does not look very bright and things may not turn around for him anytime soon. Ominously, when he left his previous part-time dishwashing job due to personal reasons, he began to look up another dishwashing job citing the ease at finding such work as one main reason.

I wondered how many Kelvins are out there washing dishes, putting on the smart security guard uniform or driving a cab when our foreign talents are happily working away and making decent salary… it just does not make any sense here. Don’t get me wrong – I am not against people who are dishwashers, security guards or cabbies.

It’s just that after studying for 15 years in our world class educational system, clocking up decades of work experience in a first world economy and putting in the required 24 months of national service defending our nation, we are reduced to such pathetic state when we have reach our forties? Something is very wrong somewhere out there…and our renowed meritocratic system may have failed all of us here."

~ Complimentary Hair Spa by Oriental Hair Solutions ~

Received a call earlier in the week for a complimentary hair spa by Oriental Hair Solutions...went down for my appointment today after popping by Laniege Sales...they r located at Ngee Ann City...this hair spa is under Jean Yip Platinum...so the decor is platinum-themed...was rather amused with the capsule-shaped consultation room ;p

The consultant first scanned my scalp n explained to me how normal hair follicle looks like...well, i have v.fine hair...n the hair that is growing out looks even more fine o.O" gotta admit that my stress level n chronic lack of sleep didnt help...n the scan also showed that i have some clogged pores on my scalp...the consultant's Malaysian accent was so strong that i thought that she was refering to "oaktree" when she was in fact trying to describe "O3" to a leechie...apologies but i juz couldn't register in my leechie mind some other stuff that she was trying to tell me cos she spoke mostly in chinese n my leechie chinese is far from brilliant o.O"

The consultant first applied some stuff to deep cleanse my scalp...then she shampooed my hair...followed by application of a herbal thingy which felt rather minty n there was a pleasant tingling sensation on my scalp...then she put this balloon-y shower cap on me which was lined to the O3 machine...pretty cool ya B-)

After rinising off the herbal product, she blew dry my leechie hair...then she scanned my scalp again to show that the clogged pores on my scalp have been cleared =) the entire process was supposed to be 2 hours long...but everything was done in less than an hour o.O gotta say that my leechie scalp feels cleaner and less congested after this hair spa =)

Notice how unsymmetrical my fringe is? haiz...guess i have to go for fringe rebonding soon... >.<" lemme repeat again -> i have v.strong natural curls and i didnt perm my leechie hair...so what u see in these pics is my natural hair ...but i'll be trying out ceramic/ digital perm soon...stay tuned for my updates n pics ;p

Update:

Received several encouraging msgs from frenz who enjoyed my leechie blog...thx for your support...really appreciate these msgs =) it really warms my leechie heart to know that there are ppl out there who appreciate my leechie musings n i'm not juz talking to myself...lol ;p thx...u guys rockz! i'm juz sharing one of my talents with the world at large..."if u dont use it, u lose it"...so spread the love ya ♥

Thanks Kacey for the tix...i will be attending National Achievers Congress next month...anyone going n wanna catch up can drop leechie an email =)

Leechie has caught a cold...sniff sniff >.<" my leechie life is sooooooooo happening...brought work home to do on a sat nite @.@" working through the wee hours of the morning with a roasted brain (ya, roasted n ready to serve =.=")

Think leechie is addicted to wasabi-anything...rem a fren telling me tt wasabi is good for blocked nose...leechie simply lurves wasabi-chips ;p crapz...i'm juz finding an excuse to eat wasabi-anything o.O" think i juz need a plumber for my blocked nose >.<"

Sore throat...Flu...n now the inner corner of my left eye hurts...n i keep sneezing manz...

After beating Chelski in the champions league matchie...juz saw tt Man U beat Fulham ;p

Gosh...brought my leechie parents over to Central HK cafe at Vivo for dinner juz now...but guess what? my poor leechie mum was having difficulty chewing some apparently v.hard stuff from her bowl of duck ramen...she took that stuff outta her mouth n omg...guess what? that piece of v.hard stuff looks like part of the thing that was used to scrub pots n pans!!! Omg...how could such stuff be found in ramen? my poor leechie mum was badly traumatized...the staff took away this piece of stuff after she showed it to them...then my leechie mum asked why didnt i take a snapshot of the offending piece before they took it away?! we were all too shocked! the kitchen staff should have practised better hygiene n be more careful! but credits to the cafe mgr...he allowed the swop of this ramen with the fish&chips...although the black pepper cod fish baked rice was nice, we wouldnt be making a return to this cafe anytime in the forseeable future! o.O"

Btw, here's my response to fb fren's posting on bringing family out for a simple meal:
"we r living in a damn practical n yet pretentious society...where one's self-worth is closely-linked to one's net worth...many ppl fail to appreciate the simple things in life until they lose it...a simple meal with family is juz an example...but to each his/her own...i'm in no position to judge others...likewise, i dont like others to judge me...esp based on how little they know of me..."

"You know how much you are worth in the eyes of someone by how much attention that was given to you. If the person's excuse is that he is always busy but have time for others and not you.. what does it show?"
Maybe he's juz not that into u, babe >.<"

Rem the super lame 15 year old boy? he was trying to lecture me juz now abt how i can be more happy...started off well by asking me to appreciate the simple things in life...go for some good meals during the weekends (cos he knows the food sucks where i work), talk to my parents, take it slow n relax, do whatever that can make me happy...then he had to ruin it all again by asking me to go buy all the iphone, ipad, iwhatever, blackberry, blackwhatever etc...he doesnt understand what's missing in my life...n tt som stuff cant be solved by buying whatever material stuff...i recall the famous saying tt "those probs which can be solved by money aint probs at all"! o.O for example i already have tons n tons of bags at home...running outta storage space...another bag wont make me much happier...but i gotta admit tt i can be a shopaholic at times...well, a shopaholic in constant denial? ;p so what i do now to reduce impulsive buys n buyers' regret is to practise delayed gratification o.O btw, i was pretty amused when i saw posting of some random fb girl who blew her bonus on some orange color Chanel bag...n my cynical leechie mum, besides poking fun of this girl's choice of color, shared the same opinion tt we dont need to buy a Chanel bag to boost our egos ;p guess we r way past tt stage now...i rem i suffered from such peer pressure only when i was an insecure teenager...lol ;p

The Quote:
“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness is the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy”. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

I wanna be happy! o.O

Is there any kind soul who can help to order from the US Kate Spade webby? o.O
i wanna pose with a Kate Spade box too (i'm serious abt the former...the latter is juz a joke ;p) pls email me at leechietheleech @gmail.com if u can help to order/ organize a spree...thx alot! =)

"If you don't want me in your life just say so. And I will do my best to walk away. But dont expect me to stop loving you."

"I'm not sure what hurts more..knowing that you don't care...or knowing you're pretending to?"

"Never break four things in your life – Trust, Promise, Relation & Heart because when they break they don’t make any noise but hurts a lot…"

"A 15 year old girl holds her 1 year old son; people call her a slut. But no one knew she was raped at 13. Make fun of someone for being fat, but you don't know that person has a serious medical condition that causes her to be obese. Call the old guy ugly, but.. you don't know he got a serious face injury after serving the country or saving a life. Re-post this if you're against bullying and stereotyping."

Loot from Laniege Sales...the 2 marketing managers tt i met today are v.nice n friendly =) the sunblock tt u see in this pic is a rare item cos it was totally sold out by the time i reached ;p

Patches -> my fren's cutie doggie ;p
how i wish i have such a cutie doggie o.O

Last pair of cutie bedroom slippers tt i got from Forever21...notice tt one side looks bigger than the other eh? but blur leechie only discovered tt they r of different sizes when i got home o.O"

Received several requests for pics of my cosmetics collection....finally took some pics...here's part of my leechie collection ;p

A few more drawers of leechie collection ;p
Apologies, leechie has a habit of stocking up stuff...think i'll feel abit insecure if i find my beauty products running out or being discontinued...@.@"

Part of the stuff that leechie bot at Shiseido sales last year ;p

Btw, i gotta declare that none of these brands paid leechie a single cent to post these pics! o.O

Lights, Camera, Action!!!

Visited Steven Spielberg's Lights, Camera, Action studio at Universal Studios at RWS last year during Capitaland Investors' Day...here r some rare shots from inside the studio ;p

They were trying to simulate the effects of the tornado...slowly increasing from scale 1 to 10! o.O

I was standing near the front...so i could really feel the effects manz @.@"

Check out the lovely fireworks ;p i was alone when i watched these beautiful fireworks at the lake inside universal studios...gotta admit tt i felt lonely with all those lovey-dovey couples around me...i always think that one of the most romantic things is to watch fireworks with the one that u love ♥

Leechie will be visiting universal studios again this coming week...this time for work...i aim to try all the other rides tt i didnt manage to take the last time round =) btw, my leechie parents r not into these kinda rides n fun so my greatest regret wont be not taking my parents to the universal studios...oops...did i say the wrong thing again? but u cant trust a leechie to be politically-correct ya x.X" i'm flirting with the idea of taking the roller-coaster for the v.first time in my leechie life ;p so stay tuned for more pics ya ;p

Amused to receive a msg asking if leechie was doing inline-skating at west coast...sorry to disappoint but the person sighted aint leechie...i dont have a habit of hanging around west coast...btw, i'm becoming more n more curious cos there have been a couple of occasions tt ppl mistook others for me...there is only one leechie...i cant b at different places simultaneously until i have mastered the art of teleporting ya? ;p so if u happen to see someone who resembles a leechie the next time...pls do take a snapshot n show me k? o.O

Btw, i was at a meeting this afternoon when the screen started to shake...then the table was shaking...even the walls were shaking too...then sup asked if i had undergo earthquake training before...he told me to hide under the table if there is really an earthquake...told him tt i prefer to run outta building if possible...cos i dont wanna be found dead under the debris...lol ;p no worries, leechie aint in any earthquake zone...the vibrations were due to the nearby construction...but this sparked off an online debate abt what to do in the event of a real earthquake o.O

Tears welled up in my leechie eyes when i read about the 14 year old girl who fell onto the MRT tracks...sometimes i feel that we spent so much time bitching abt every single small detail in our lives that many of us might have forgotten to appreciate the simple things in life...instead of bitching abt how u didn't manage to buy that pretty pair of shoes...think abt this little girl...be thankful for your legs n feet instead! o.O

Btw, u only live once...i think i'm at the stage of my life where i wanna experience more new things...there r so muchie stuff tt i havent seen n experienced n there r so muchie stuff waiting for me to do...n yet some dating agency wanna push some v.mature old uncles to a leechie although i've explained to them time n again tt uncle-types r totally outta my preference...well, if u wanna know...i was given a few complimentary dates by this local dating agency...i wouldnt fancy paying to date anyway =.=" n i really question how they do the criteria matching when these guys obviously fall short of my criteria! yet they still try to convince me to go for the dates saying tt the other party is a good match for me...especially when basic stuff like our interests n hobbies don't even match! clearly, we r at different phases of our lives...they r nice ppl but i would deem them to be more suitable as biz associates or casual frenz rather than soulmates or romantic interests o.O my guess is they might have a quota to meet n juz match ppl according to very basic criteria (hope tt wont deteriorate to juz 2 eyes, 1 mouth, 1 nose with 2 ears -.-") such guys make me feel as if i'm dating my uncle...well, the main difference being tt my leechie uncle is younger than them n he's much more successful n cool than these guys! n definitely much more fun to hang out with! B-) btw, a lady juz called me the other day to complain abt this same dating agency too, raising concerns abt how they do their computerized matching...so thought i'll juz bitch abt it here to raise greater awareness =.=" anyway, i've heard too muchie complaints abt some of these "renowned" dating agencies with their high-pressure sales tactics to make u sign up for their ultra-expensive membership...after which, they struggle to even get u the minimum no. of dates tt u paid for...what a joke...especially with the way tt they have marketed themselves...well, sometimes appearances can be v.deceiving ya ;p caveat emptor, cheers =)

~ Heineken Ultraviolet Event at Stereolab ~

Popped by Stereolab for the Heineken Ultraviolet event tonite...it was pretty muchie a v.last minute thingy...cos was having dinner with my leechie parents at Ok.Sushi when Harn n Veron were saying that they were going to meet Caroline at boat quay...well, dinner at Ok.Sushi wasnt impressive....unagi popiah was good but other than that, the ebi tempura n curry chicken were juz plain ordinary -.-" but i was badly tramatized at boat quay....cos i couldnt find Harn n was made to walk through some super skinny path between tons n tons of sweaty n rowdy cricket fans over n over again a couple of times =.=" i actually harboured thoughts of asking the police there to escort me! So i was v.glad tt i finally managed to find Veron n hid behind her while walking through the masses of scarry cricket fans! @.@" sorry but leechie has zero affinity for cricket...leechie only watches footie matches! =.="

Yummy unagi popiah ;p

When we reached stereo, i was made to queue despite being a member there =.=" (many ppl keep asking me abt my membership there...lemme repeat: my membership is complimentary from the club...n i cant rem the last occasion tt i paid cover charge to a club) anyway, we bumped into some ppl whom i would term them as "friends of convenience" who would juz wanna make use of u to achieve their goals n then forget abt u n dont even bother to thank you so dont ever harbour any thoughts of appreciation from such folks...well, juz some ppl who wanna a leechie to sign them into the club -.-" but guess what? we were lucky enough to queue behind some guy with BO -.-" well, veron blamed tt on the weather o.O" it was rather crowded...saw some socialites there...n i felt really under-dressed in my casual outfit...n veron gave a leechie a lecture abt how it's always better to look overdressed than underdressed! well, she didnt know tt i once attended a Charity Gala dinner in jeans n slippers n our table was right next to the VIP table where a minister n his wife sat o.O i bet veron would give me another lecture if she knew abt this =.=" but it was again another last minute thingy...leechie aint a tai tai n i dont dress up everyday with the plan of attending some glamorous function...n i was trying to explain to my leechie mum the other day tt som ppl would start bitching abt a leechie the v.next day if i'm seen in town wearing some crappy outfit =.=" haiz...but i'm only human...

While i was queuing for drinks...some random guy teased me...n i was also scolded by the bouncer for inviting frenz to join me in the queue...doesnt pay to be a kind soul eh -.-" the beers were supposed to have a greenish tinge...n my drinks were stolen while i was away to the ladies...talking abt a gracious society...excuse moi -.-" then we ended up at some table with ppl pouring us martell drinks...n some guy thought tt leechie is korean...met a cutie korean guy there...eat ur hearts out ladies, he looks like a fairer version of Rain! but sorry ladies, he's already taken...i met his gf too o.O" btw, he was telling me tt there are more than 100 clubs in Seoul...n way bigger in size compared to the clubs here o.O n the waiters there cleared away our souvenir heineken ultraviolet bottles after we barely took a sip...we actually planned to bring the bottles home before they juz mysteriously disappeared! -.-"

Peter -> cutie Korean who looks like a fairer version of Rain ;p
btw, this pic is cropped cos Veron doesnt want her face to appear on my leechie blog =.="

N it was already late into the nite when dear veron decided she wanna open a bottle of vodka with my membership card...i couldnt drink much by then...it's always a bad idea to mix all the drinks...think i had abt 4 or 5 beers n maybe 2 martell 28 n maybe 2 vodkas? i kinda lost count ler...n i was feeling v.tipsy n felt like puking...was trying to msg Audrey but i kept sending my msgs wrongly...gosh...muz have been the trauma from earlier on...good thing tt i still had the decency to walk over to the bar counter to ask for lemon water...this lemon water really worked wonders manz...i didnt puke after drinking it...told ya tt i have a caustic tongue! lychees n lemons make good frenz ya? ;p

Veron said she had 12 drinks...but she didnt look the least bit affected...n sent this v.tipsy leechie back o.O i only realized tt the charm on my gold bracelet (the bracelet was from my leechie mum...it was her wedding gift) is missing the v.next day...wondering where it could have been ripped/dropped out? previously, veron was making noise abt how muchie bling bling a leechie usually wears...she said it's not safe to wear so muchie bling bling here in sg n gave me the example of how som gal was robbed cos she was wearing a v.skinny gold chain...but i'm juz too used to all the bling bling on me o.O"

Anyway, i guess veron was celebrating her sales of art pieces overseas? told her tt i really admire her artistic talents...n she replied tt leechie also has other talents...she said tt leechie is a celebrity blogger n v.sociable...well, i guess most ppl would tend to feel more relaxed n sociable after a few drinks ;p sometimes i feel i'm more like veron's PR lady...lol ;p n veron asked how come a leechie is not invited to Men's Fashion Week? maybe the organizers might consider inviting a leechie if i start to don some lad outfits eh? lol ;p my leechie mum commented tt the only painting tt leechie ever does is to paint my leechie face -.-" so i told her tt veron started to paint at the age of 4 n i learnt how to shop at tt age...so whose fault is it? -.-" so to all the parents reading this, do be mindful of the type of hobbies tt u intro to ur kids at such young age!

Btw, leechie is not only damn proficient at shopping...many ppl have complimented tt leechie looks v.photogenic...well, i have been practising posing for the camera ever since i was in kindergarten...cos my leechie dad would bring me out every weekend then n asked me to pose for pics...so after so muchie practice, i guess flirting with the camera comes naturally to me? lol ;p anyway, i realized tt most ppl dont actually bother to read what i typed...they tend to be more interested in my pics...lol ;p

Btw, we were trying out veron's sony ercisson Xperia camera inside stereo n we ended up looking v.blue...really sucks manz (so muchie after poking fun of the blue effect of harn's blackberry camera) n there were heineken ladies going around the place with polaroid cameras n helped to take pics for the party-goers...we had some pics taken too ;p stay tuned for more pics ya ;p

Btw, if u r wondering why there aint any pics of veron on my leechie blog...well, tt's bcos she has banned a leechie from posting her pics on my leechie blog n any facebook fanpages -.-" btw, i wouldnt think a person can be considered "low-profile" for someone who tends to get close to event photographers with the hope of being captured in shots for appearance on the pages of society mags n webbys...would ya? ;p how can such limelight craving behavior be consistent with a "low-profile" person? i'm sorry to disappoint u but leechie aint dumbo -.-" n i totally hate it when ppl keep telling me what to do...who keep commanding me what i can n cant write on my own personal blog! why cant i have freedom of speech on my own personal blog? for goodness' sake...excuse moi, but u dont own me...u dont own my brains, mouth n fingers! =.=" respect is a 2-way street...how do u expect others to respect u when u cant even respect others?!

Was confessing to veron tt silly leechie did a couple of damn silly things earlier on in the day...veron's advice was tt leechie shouldnt ask a guy out but 10 guys! o.O"

Update:
A hair spa juz called to offer leechie a complimentary hair spa service ♥ one of the perks of being a blogger ya ;p
