Biotherm's Bloggers' Event
Was shopping for skincare when a stranger asked me for advice n recommendation on what skincare to use...i was v.muchie flattered cos she chose to trust my opinion rather than that of the beauty advisor =) received queries from some blog readers abt the skincare tt i use...ya, some guys were asking for advice too...shall introduce one of the latest product offerings from Biotherm in this blog entry =)
Wanna thank Cozycot for their kind invitation to Biotherm's bloggers' event =) braved the heavy downpour to reach the cozycot office...was quite surprised tt i was recognized by the lady who sat next to me...Emily came in a little later after Biotherm's brand mgr, Grace, started her introduction of the latest Biotherm serum: Skin Ergetic
Skin Ergetic is targeted to combat fatigue...n this product is v.suitable for modern ladies who r rushing here, there n everywhere...juz like leechie, who keeps whining abt being tired @.@"
Broccoli is known to be an excellent anti-oxidant...n Skin Ergetic contains a sulforaphane-rich broccoli extract...n 99% of the ingredients in the serum are of natural origin...no parabens...no mineral oil...no artificial colors...n one need not fret abt smelling like a broccoli after using this serum...in fact, there's no broccoli smell at all...it has a fresh fruity fragrance =) it has a v.pocket friendly price tag of $99...this price is v.reasonable...trust me...i have tried so many exp serums in the mkt ;p
Btw, Grace mentioned tt they did an interesting experiment in which an apple was cut into 2 halves...Skin Ergetic was then applied to one half n nothing was applied to the other half...the half with nothing applied on it turned brown...n the other half with Skin Ergetic didnt!
Grace demonstrating how to mix the powder into the serum with the click of the cap
The lovely press kit presented to each blogger...it's the first time tt i've received a plant in a press kit...so cool...my mum was amused with it =)
N each press kit was personalized with our names...see my leechie name on it? ;p really cool ya B-)
I was trying out the serum on the back of my hand...but as u could see from this pic...no dropper...n my leechie butter fingers accidentally poured abit too muchie...
But the pleasant surprise was...the serum was quickly absorbed into my skin =)
Pls pardon my nails...this has been a really hectic week for leechie...so i didnt have time to do my nails before the event x.X"

Gotta thank Daniel for the tix to Loreal Private Sale which was held a couple of weeks ago...the best buy from this sale was the Lancome loose powder which was discontinued...i went on both days of the sale n bot a total of 7 lancome loose powders (bought all the 3 avail shades...2 pcs of #1 which has shimmers...4 pcs of #2 which is pinkish tone..1 pc of #3 which is biege tone) n i was considering if i shld buy the lancome whitening toner which was going for a really good price...but the ones meant for oily skin was sold out on the second day so i didnt get any...check out my loots ;p
Update:
Attended a short 2hour makeup class at a makeover studio near my place...it was a v.small class with only 4 participants...n the guy who sat next to me was there to learn how to put makeup on himself n was really hardworking n took plenty notes...he even attempted to put on eyeshadow on himself to create the smoky eyes look...well, leechie being leechie, i couldnt resist but to poke fun of him at every single opportunity...when i told my leechie mum tt i had a male classmate who was there to learn how to put makeup on himself...she was like..."guys these days v.vain" lol ;p anyway, the 2 hours session dragged on n turned into 3 hours...i dont have 3hours to put on makeup everyday! i usually finish my makeup in 15min before i rush outta house ;p their ways of doing eye makeup is rather outdated...well, according to Kevin lao shi, that aint the right look to project! i didnt have any formal makeup training...but i guess i learn better from watching how Kevin lao shi go abt performing his magic...no offence to anyone, but this is what i believe in: if u wanna learn...learn from the best!
